Not cash or gift card Christmas present for nanny.

Now that would make sense.

HBOmax. A year’s subscription is a great gift for anyone.

Why does your nanny spend Christmas with you?

To watch the kids, silly.

She has no family of her own or OP needs nanny to clean up Christmas mess.

Give her Christmas Day off as its a Federal holiday and a larger bonus. Most people don't want the stuff listed.

Most nannies already have those days off, PP, plus two weeks. Who the hell are you working for!

I’ve never known a nanny who didn’t have those days off either. Plus PTO and vacation.

I think the haunting fat troll is back.

I’ve had it “off” once, but as a live-in away from my family, I couldn’t use it. I’ve worked at least part of all holidays for every other family, and everything except Christmas for that family.

So you make the choice to work on Christmas - that’s cool. The vast majority of nannies have it off.

Even as a live-in nanny, you can demand your days off, PP.

zippo makes refillable hand warmers. if she's into hiking when it's cold, she might like that. She can put them in her pockets and warm her hands periodically.

You've never known a nanny who worked for doctors who work in hospitals? They work holidays, you know.
