Social media was invented by Gen Xers. |

us boomer had the summer of love, man. You can't even do that today.
Sorry, can't say I think much of this current generation either |
Yeah I’m pretty sure my 18y/o cousin sees me (32) as an old person just like she sees her parents (gen z and boomer) as old people. We are all just boring old people with kids and mortgages. I’m pretty far in age from being a boomer but I really don’t care that young people often see everyone over 25 as old. People on here are getting too hung up on the technical definitions, like another poster said “boomer” is a state of being to young people not a specific age. |
This. Gen X is 1964 at the earliest and ends around 1981 or 1982, is my understanding. We are the latch-key kids, first of the MTV generation, many of us remember the gas crisis, hyper-inflation, and were coming of age at the time of the stock market crash. We are the generation of Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Electric Company (and Zoom). We watched all the 1960s sitcoms in syndication on UHF: Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, The Monkees, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, among them. |
Agree. I don't care if you think I'm old, lame, suck with my two spaces after a period. WHATEVER. Confusing us with Boomers is a bridge to far even for our level of ennui. |
| My teens think millennials are essentially off brand boomers. Cycle of life. |

To college kids over 30 are adults.
Over 45 are parents Over 50 are ancient Over 60 are so old who can tell? |
Yup pretty much |
Haha I’m 41 and started wearing reading glasses this year. I embrace my aging. It’s giving me wisdom and means I’ve made it another year. Hope you’ll be as lucky. I look upon those older than me with reverence. You have no idea what it takes to stay alive for 4+ decades. |
100% this. |
Your life today and everything you love about it, including musical hits and retro everything that’s come back in style, would not be what it is without Gen X. You’re welcome. |
What is the difference? Stereotyping millions people by the year they were born is stupid just like stereotyping people for any other reason. Why is it useful to assume they are all the same. Ask 100 boomers what they think about 9-11, or football, or coffee, or anything else and you get 200 different answers. |
+3. |
That’s ok. We have the image of your tramp stamp and thong sticking out while acting like a drunken fool seared into our brains. |
