There are a few of us responding (shocker!). There are some very good private schools in the DC area, and even the mediocre ones are SO much better than APS. |
What % of science teachers at the DC-area privates do you think have a PhD? |
Not sure. Have you spent time today researching this? And I’m not concerned if they have a PhD or not. There are many with bachelors and masters degrees with work experience in their fields. Much better than someone who majored in coloring. (I mean seriously, I remember reading that UMD requires a 2.5 gpa to major in education. Not impressive at all.) |
My child went to a private school this year. I googled the teacher. Taught at an APS elementary school last year. |

I can't imagine how you can call yourself a competent parent but remain afraid to go into a class of 20 eleven year olds and calling them thugs while participating in a year long anonymous smear campaign against teachers.
The irony is palpable. If you had put this much effort into being a parent, many of those issues would have been resolved. |
