+1 Those nut jobs have no place in or around kids or education. They should apologize to the teachers/administration for their bullying/screaming. |
wow, your teaches must have messed up pretty badly to teach high school with a PhD |
it means that a new teacher has at least some minimal classroom experience and some training. It's not much, but its more than you get when you hire someone with a BA in history and no experience |
At least they showed up last year. |
Some people enjoy teaching, but I can see why most people would avoid the crap that comes with public schools (huge classes, lack of support from admin staff, being forced to mainstream students with delays and behavioral issues, etc). A good private school though? Sounds like it could be fun. I’ve even considered it, and I have a doctorate in my field. |
It means they were probably mentored by some crappy public school teacher, further perpetuating the cycle of substandard education. |
Orange theory, South Block, arranging their fall container gardens. Less than $100 a day means nothing to the subset of families. Why on earth would they go substitute? |
I'll consider it. Am I required to be vaccinated? |
Someone sounds jealous? |
Pretty sure working at a top New England boarding school isn't considered a crappy job. |
1) You sound like an a—hole. 2) I don’t believe you. No one with a PhD is going to teach private school, unless perhaps retired. They make a lot less than public school teachers- and that’s saying a lot. |
No, b/c I'm one of them, LOL. |
Some people come from family money and are therefore able to choose jobs they find enjoyable. |
LOL. If you actually attended a "top" NE boarding school you wouldn't be equating it with the crap private schools around here. ![]() |
The pay is too low. Period. If they significantly raised the pay it would solve their issues. Same with bus drivers. |
