| I am so sick of this weather - feel like I can hardly breathe outside and there seems to be no end in sight. I hate it so much!!!! |
| Me too!! |
| Add my name to the complaint! |
| I am so over it. I hate summer and it seems some years it drags into September/October. Ready for a real fall! |
Agreed. I feel like people like summer in theory, but what they think it is, is not what it is--at least in DC.

Get used to it. This is the new normal thanks to global warming.
There’s an interesting graphic in the NYT today which shows you how many 90 degree days your hometown had on average the year you were born, how many now, and how many when you’re 80. I’ll let you guess which direction it goes in, even if countries take action to meaningfully decrease fossil fuel emissions (which they’re not doing). |
| You all need a screened in porch with a powerful fan from where you can sit and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds in your garden. |
| That's why I can never go back to Texas |
| No! It’s been so rainy I feel like summer never happened! I hope it stays at least into the high 70’s til Halloween! |
Forgive this dumb question, but does this mean our winter might be warmer? |
Soon it will be over and then you'll be whining about cold and getting dark to soon. You have AC in your house, office, car, and all stores, so you can't be that uncomfortable! |
We are the only ones. I feel like we barely went to the pool with all of that rain and now the kids are back at school. |
| It's been an unpleasant year, weatherwise. Winter seemed to drag on forever, always cold and windy but with no payoff of beautiful snow. Spring was mostly rainy, raw days, until suddenly we had a heat wave. Then summer has been either rainy and gross or steamy-baking-concrete and gross, with very few nice days in between. I read in the Washington Post that by August, we'd already had our rainiest year in decades, and there's still four months left in the year. |
No it means it will be more extreme (so colder) |
| I've been in the pool maybe three times this entire summer. It's been either too stormy, too steamy (so the water feels like tepid bathwater, doesn't evaporate off your skin, and isn't refreshing), or -- oddly enough -- too chilly. WTF. All I wanted was a stretch of perfect pool weather. |
