There’s an interesting graphic in the NYT today which shows you how many 90 degree days your hometown had on average the year you were born, how many now, and how many when you’re 80.

I’ll let you guess which direction it goes in, even if countries take action to meaningfully decrease fossil fuel emissions (which they’re not doing).

Forgive this dumb question, but does this mean our winter might be warmer?

No it means it will be more extreme (so colder)

Ahhhh, so "global warming" means it gets COLDER in the winter.

Can I play, too???

Global COOLING then means it will be HOTTER in the summer! (see? It's the opposite?)

Therefore, we are clearly in a global cooling cycle, since people say the summers are getting hotter.

Can I have my NOAA grant now? I'd like to buy a Tesla P100 DL .... to save the planet.

Climate change. There. Better?

I really don't get how people can deny what's in front of their faces.

Please, go help out all of those coastal homeowners who are watching their property values tank. Because it's just weather, right? You'll make a killing when the poles freeze up again and sea levels drop!

Oh, god. I would go to a hotel I am not even joking.

This summer is least amount of days we've used the pool. At least it's a community pool so I didn't have to pay extra to join, so plus side. Seemed like it was raining every weekend! Or when I took a day off to chill out it rained. And then when I did get to go to the pool, it was after a few days of rainy weather and the water was too cold. Ugh!

I'm heading to the beach on Friday and I hope it's nice!

So you change the name because the data doesn't support long term predictions?!?!?!

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll give you credit for persistence. It's hard to be wrong when "change" is the operative word. Doesn't matter whether it's warmer or colder, you still get to claim you were right

News flash - exactly everyone knows the climate changes. That's how we've had ice ages, and green houses. We've had glaciers in Georgia and palm trees growing in Newfoundland. Most of the time the planet is somewhere in between, heading for one extreme or the other, in a cycle that repeats all the time. It did so before people were here, and will continue to do so in the future, whether we're here or not. Climate is not static. And for the life of me, I can't fathom how libs think it is. Not when faced with evidence that it is constantly changing. You people really DO think that sea level is supposed to stay right where it is at THIS particular second, here and now! Despite the proof that it fluctuates hundreds of feet up AND down from where it currently is. But now that YOU are here, all that has to stop, LOLz!!!!!

When Algore and Leo DiCaprio tear down their beach houses in Malibu (not sell them to someone else!) because they know the oceans are going to overwhelm them in a couple years, then you'll convince me.

I'll wait.

Wait for what? The effects are happening. Now. There is no dispute about this, regardless of your need to disparage Gore, DiCaprio, or whoever. There are plenty of reputable articles about htis out there. In the scientific community, this is accepted. Of course, climate does change over time. It's the rate at which it is currently happening. Too fast.

You can keep babbling on about . . . whatever it is you're trying to say. That does not change the fact climate change is real. It's happening. And you will not have to wait long to see severe effects in your lifetime. Depending on where you live, you may already have and just not know it. Because you don't seem to know very much at all.

Okay, so deny climate change all you want but you can't deny ocean plastic is killing sea life, right? Or do you deny that too?

No, it will go from 90 to 30 with no in between, as always!!

Only in DCUM-crazypants-land can someone who just said "climate change is real and happening all the time" be called a climate change denier!!!

Libs are just a whole other kind of crazy. It's like crazy, mixed with stupid, with a splash of infant tantrum thrown in, and served lukewarm.
