| I've eaten about 420 calories today so far. I'll be dropping by the store soon and need some ideas for dinner. |
| What is your goal..seems like you could eat a pretty good dinner. |

Are you wanting to cook, or to buy some already prepared food?
I'm assuming you have some kind of calorie goal, given how your title started. What is it? Do you anticipate the dinner will be the last time you eat today, or are you someone who likes to have something before bed? |
| I am dieting and cutting calories. Dinner will be the last time I eat today. |
| I can buy something prepared like a microwave dinner or I can cook something at home. I'm just trying to get a handle on calories and prefer something on the low carb side - lean meat/veggies. |
| Broiled salmon is always the right answer. |
| Pretty much anything. |

I find that 1200 calories is a nice place for me to lose weight, so I'd try and figure out a dinner with somewhere under 780 calories.
For example, the following would be about right: 6 oz of salmon (350 calories) A generous portion of mixed noncarby veggies (I'd do a yellow pepper, a bunch of asparagus spears and a large handful of grape tomatoes) (100 - 150 calories) 2 TBSP's of Italian dressing drizzled over the above (130 calories) put all that in the broiler until it looks and smells delicious Top with an oz of crumbled feta (75 calories) Finish with a clamshell of raspberries (75 calories) |
This sounds wonderful! I'm going to try it tonight. |
| We had Indian butter chicken. We had it over rice but you don’t have to. That, plus salad, and a steamed or roasted veggie. |
| You gave far too little information for people to give any meaningful suggestions. |
I'm dieting, I'm watching calories and carbs. I'm trying to mostly have lean meat/veggies at dinner time. I can pick up the ingredients and make the meals myself or I can buy a microwave dinner. I prefer to know how the meal is prepared in order to get a more accurate calorie count. So far I've had 370 calories today. So I'm looking for dinner ideas. Last night I had broiled salmon and veggies - it was good! |
