Approx 420 cals so far today. Need ideas for dinner.

I thought this was a "420" reference.

I’d buy a nice big juicy piece of steak for dinner and cut some salad.

I'll probably have steak this weekend along with a saute of wilted spinach, mushrooms and pine nuts. I might even throw in a skewer of broiled scallops and shrimp.

Tonight I'm making turkey taco salad with avocado slices, low fat sour cream and a sprinkling of cheese.

I'm dieting, I'm watching calories and carbs. I'm trying to mostly have lean meat/veggies at dinner time.

I can pick up the ingredients and make the meals myself or I can buy a microwave dinner. I prefer to know how the meal is prepared in order to get a more accurate calorie count.

So far I've had 370 calories today. So I'm looking for dinner ideas. Last night I had broiled salmon and veggies - it was good!

You need more food. It really doesn't matter what you eat - what do you want?

I'm hoping to get some healthy dinner ideas that keep carbs to a minimum while also being delicious, nutritious and filling. The salmon and veggie idea in a previous post was really good.

Why are you all eating so much salmon when tilapia has half the calories?

Me too. Was about to suggest doritos and ice cream.

I say this kindly: the way you are writing all this out it sounds like you are in the middle of or headed toward an eating disorder. By all means, watch what you eat - but saying you've had 370 calories and what should you have for dinner makes it seem like an illness.

But if you like salmon and veggies, eat more salmon and veggies. That's good for you. Assuming you eat meat - which it sounds like you do - just eat some type of meat and some veggies every day until you are the weight that you want to be. You don't need to think about it - and please be careful that you aren't causing your body/mind harm.

Pork tenderloin!!

Put it on the grill or in the oven with some rosemary and salt and pepper. A side of steamed green beans and you are all set. It is my favorite meal when I am trying to cut calories.
