Shelter: the Biden Administration and Harris will be expanding - money to the states for block grants for affordable housing as well as an expansion of LITHC.

Food: Harris has suggested breaking monopolies and strengthening price-gouging laws.

What is the GOP solution?

To complain and to add tariffs while enriching the wealthy.

You don’t think someone using Brad Pitt’s torso in Fight Club as an avatar has their finger on the pulse of economics?

Not to attack grocery which runs on slim 3-4% margins. Not to take money fron the tax payer and "grant" it to landlords. What are these monopolies? Name the industry. Pharma? You've been pretty busy throwing money at them! Education? Same. Healthcare? Same.

Let's talk about your record, democrats. Not your next "aspirations" on collectivism.

The "slim margins" are generating record profits at the expense of the individual consumer all while the GOP is calling it "inflation"

Either stop gaslighting calling it inflation or else come up with a rational and implementable solution.

Trump is out there saying he is going to end inflation. How? be specific? Harris and provided a few workable ideas. Unless the GOP can come up with something else, otherwise it is just blather.

If you want to talk about the democrats record...

The record is clear. Under the Democrats, jobs are created, GDP grows.
Meanwhile, Bush41, Bush43 and Trump all left office with recession and economic calamity only to leave Clinton, Obama and Biden to clean it up.

Imagine if a democrat took office after another democrat and didn't have to spend political capital cleaning up after the republicans!

Her ideas are not "workable" ways to reduce inflation. A federal ban on price gouging is essentially price controls, which result in shortages, black markets, etc. and once they fail they inevitably end in more inflation.

Her $25,000 grant to new home buyers similarly will lead to further inflation for homes. Not to mention the latter will require taxes for all to rise to provide benefits for a few, many of whom are comfortably renting now. On top of the tax that is inflation.

GOP: "Well actually Biden was only able to create that many jobs because Trump's masterful Covid response eliminated millions through no fault of his own so really it's Trump who created all those jobs during the Biden presidency."

And then COVID made it worse.

It is more the food producers and distributors than the grocery chains themselves though...

Publix: Net earnings for the fiscal year ended Dec. 30, 2023 were $4.3 billion, compared to $2.9 billion in 2022, an increase of 49%.

Kroger reported $736 million in Q4 2023 profits with annual profits of over $2.1 billion—sky-high totals that comes after last month’s Consumer Price Index report revealed that cooling inflation was stilted by stubbornly high food prices

Ok, so other than complaining, what is the GOP plan? Trumps proposed expansion of tariffs are inflationary and the Trump VAT is also inflationary. What is the GOP plan to reduce costs or inflation?
