I’m down 10 pounds!

And it’s amazing how great it feels! Seriously!

The first goal accomplished: the first 10lb!

Next goal: 5 more pounds, which will bring me down into the next “tens”.

It was “only” 10lb but my clothes fit and look so much better! I’ve gained enormous confidence.

How is everyone else doing?

Me too OP! I just lost 15 pounds after struggling for years, going from 160 to 145, and I feel totally amazing. My joints feel better, my clothes fit better, and I have more confidence and and am more outgoing.

Have been struggling for years and still struggling -- any secrets? I just want to lose - and keep off - 15 pounds!

Thanks so much everyone, and great to read of your progress as well!

I have been exercising daily (I ride my bike) for about 45-60 minutes. I’ve eliminated junk food (though I allow myself an occasional treat, but just ONE!) and eat mostly lean protein, tons of fruit and veggie, and only whole grain brown rice.

how long did this take you?

Congrats, OP! I am down 5 pounds. 25 more to go!

Why is it so much easier to gain weight than to loose it?

I posted the above. A little more info: I am 49, due to multiple moves with kids and an extended job search, I have been stressed, lonely and at times down. I tried weight watchers, no luck with weight loss though. I have always been an exerciser. I've been going to orange theory consistently for almost 3 years. It has made me fit and strong, sleep well and have better mood regulation. But it does not help me lose weight, in fact it makes me super hungry, resulting in my needing massive willpower at night to not overeat. But, I gotta sleep and feel positive so I keep going to OTF.

Finally succeeded with weight loss due to the motivation of a massive reunion this summer, and fasting. It was easier for me to just delete breakfast but have coffee with heavy cream, eat a big protein and veggie heavy meal about mid afternoon at my desk, and then go to a 5:30 orange theory. Then at night, just hang on, maybe nibble a little protein and veggies and have some ACV, gut shot or pickle juice. Stay busy, brush teeth early and get to bed. I did this 3-4 days a week, and let myself have alcohol and yummy food on the weekends, but no binging.

About 3-4 months of this routine, continuing with exercise every day, resulted in a loss of 15. I am 5'7", Went from 160 to 155, plateaued there for a while, then bore down and started going below 150. Now I am 143, would like to get to about 135-138. I am pretty cut from OTF and can now see these muscles and six pack, which is nice. They were there but invisible before.

I am really enjoying shopping my closet, my DH's handsyness, and my own renewed confidence. I wish I did not attach my confidence to my weight as much, but asi es, this is how I've always been. My face looks different, I am less puffy, and my joints don't hurt as much.

I may gain it back but I plan to do my best by keeping to light evening meals. Just my experience so far, thanks for reading.

Thanks for posting! I’ve been doing Orangetheory for almost a year. I look much better but haven’t lost a pound! This is very inspiring and also good to know I have to take it up a notch.
