Me too. They have about a year to get this done before a Republican majority shuts it down. Where was the impetus last January and February? I did not get the sense that Garland is taking this very seriously either.

January and February were spent trying to get a bipartisan 9/11-style commission together, and the Senate didn’t confirm Garland until March.

This is the big problem. So many voters don't care. They have neither the time, knowledge, or desire to really know what happened or understand how it would affect their future. So many Americans will sleepwalk into authoritarianism. They won't pay attention until its their family getting drafted as cannon fodder, arrested, or looking down the barrel of a gun.

I disagree. I think that the conservative corporate media - NBC, CBS, ABC, New York Times, etc - has let people down. They are still playing this like it’s just a fun horse race with no consequences to the GOP cheating themselves back into office. People who don’t tune to politics but occasionally need someone to tell them WTF is happening, and it needs to laid out plainly: the GOP is trying to install a fascist dictatorship. They are trying to take over the country by any means necessary. The media soft-pedaled the GOP’s treason with Russia, they’ve let a clucking attempted coup staged with the full support of the GOP get “both sides’d” into meaninglessness.

I say again, I would not be surprised to find out that Republicans changed votes in their favor downstream. That way, they got their guaranteed numbers to prevent the people’s will from being enacted, Trump was no longer the thorn in their side and they get to whip up their crazed followers. It’s a win all around (and would explain why so many Republican, again, outstripped their polling but such outrageous margins).

And it’s clear they have absolutely zero problem cheating.
