Yes - this. There's no life left in these stories. Or if there is, it's not enough to sustain all these long drawn out episodes. |
She seems to like Nick a lot better than she likes Luke. Also, I didn't mind the gang beating of Fred, but I kind of wished they had used stones. |
Nick knows what she's been through. Luke has no clue. I can't see how she and Luke will ever be able to connect again. I don't know if June will every be capable of having a healthy longterm relationship again, but she's have a better chance with Nick. |
When they provided the long list of people Gilead would trade for Fred, I could not believe that Hanna wasn't one of them. Uhmmm....what??? |
I don't know if he is a terrible actor, the script is weak, or it is intentional on the writer's part that he have almost no depth, but this has been so, so apparent from season 1. He makes a few moves to get June back, but he is generally SUPER weak and clearly thinks her experience is like, the equivalent of a bad week at work. |
I don’t understand why this is so hard for people to grasp. Gilead wants two things - power and kids. They are NOT going to give up any kids willingly - period. Hannah is young and may be fertile; she is an asset. The women they traded Waterford for are infertile and spies; they are liabilities. |
I read an article/heard a podcast and this was exactly the intent - this episode was meant to wrap up not only the season, but a part of the story. They deliberately ended this season in Serena's "before," so the audience knows what happens but Serena does not. |
No, I think he is aware that she’s been deeply traumatized, but few of us can relate to June’s experience even having watched her go through it. I was sexually abused for years as a child, but I didn’t fear being killed or watch friends being killed and I didn’t have two children taken from me. |
Her face is fuller not just her body. That's why I thought she was pregnant in real life in season 4. It's not padding -- unless for some odd reason the writers decided to pad her cheekbones. Since I just binged 4 seasons in 4 days, I can tell you that there is a startling difference from the other seasons and this last one. Even when she was playing pregnant in the earlier seasons, she didn't look as naturally pregnant as she does now. Fat is fat whether pregnancy fat or other. Can't deny the extra pounds. |
The actress is pushing 40 and gained some weight. SO? |

^^ITA! I thought that was the whole damn point of Fred getting off. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I really enjoyed how the season ended, but I found that certain scenes and episodes really, really dragged on. They probably should’ve found a way to wrap up the series this season. Also, I’m 100% Team Nick & June. Hot damn, they are sexy together! Even though Nick is married, I hope they end up together. I have never liked Luke. He always seemed selfish and juvenile…and kind of a dick for what he did to his first wife. Luke and June just aren’t a good match at all. (Sorry, guys, for digging up this old thread…I just binged season 4 today.) |
My husband and I started calling it "The Elizabeth Moss Comedy Hour" about halfway through season two and the later episodes did not help.
It shouldn't be a show about June. She has absurd plot armor. And everyone else's story is way more interesting. I respect how unsympathetic they made June, but after four seasons of her getting people killed I am just over it. At this point, I'm cheering for Gilead, in terms of her fate. Althlugh against them for everything else. She is just so continually toxic and selfish and sulky. Someone should make a chart tallying precisely how many people Jiune's poor decisions have killed. Because there are a loit. |
Looks like Elisabeth Moss is expecting. Hope they wrap up filming for the new season soon!

She is paid $1 MILLION per episode. She is an ACTOR, she is paid very well to do this job and she is not at all believable in the role when she’s obviously VERY overweight. Same would apply to a man. It is part of the job as an actor to cultivate or maintain a believable appearance for your role- and I speak as a short woman who struggles with weight. Look at Joquim Phoenix and Renee Zellweger and what they’ve done fir roles! |
