Langley HS is 5% Hispanic, doesn't even mention black students. It's hard to make an exact claim without boundaries, but it seems unlikely that a McLean City would reflect broader Fairfax County in terms of race/ethnicity or socioeconomic diversity. Claims that "McLean has a very diverse population" are a complete joke. Great Falls and McLean have been contributing more than they’ve received from the county for decades and it’s only after years of being lied to, misled, and ignored that people have started to push back. The fundamental problem is that the county and FCPS are too large to manage effectively. For example, we have three at-large School Board members who are supposed to represent the interests of everyone in the county, but the one who has been on the School Board the longest still has no idea where most schools in the county are located, much less the needs of individual schools other than her personal favorites.
