Society and money are very different things.

ok well “society” in DC is not riding horses. It’s decisionmakers. A Supreme Court clerk from Iowa is society in DC.

That’s definitely not true either... An actual justice, an ambassador, an undersecretary of one of the real agencies? Then I agree with you...

DC Society is the Green Book. It's not about accomplishment as much as it's about pedigree.

I would argue it's not about money either - serious cavedweller relic tho

YAS, PP. How has no one mentioned this? Thanks for keeping the thread alive!

OMG She is insufferable. The whole lot deserves each other. Gag.

Such bad writing! Like a Carrie Bradshaw diary entry. Emotionally stunted and trying to be cute but not too cute.

Ugh. And in the article she talks about how she has her “most reliable and germ-free caregiver” come to babysit their (asymptatic) child while she and her husband are unwell with coronavirus. No mention whatsoever of concerns that the caregiver might get sick from them (or did I miss something?)

That was her trying to be cute that her child was asking to STOP playing IPad. Gag.

The second one was in the Theater and Dance section, by a dance critic 2 days ago.
The first was in the Lifestyle section, by a "feature reporter" ("reporter covering Washington's social, political and philanthropic power brokers.") 2 weeks ago.

WaPo now needs a third article by a reporter whose livelihood doesn't depend on maintaining friendships with dancers and philanthropists.

Same PP. Alternatively, we need a reporter to attend Bowser's COVID updates and ask a question or two about that double cluster, and about enforcement actions on phase 1 orders.

Mid-April: Camp owners whole family has COVID

End of May: Ashley, Candace (co-business owners) both travel to Florida for memorial day weekened

--Ashley and Candace continue hanging out without social distancing or masks--

weeks of June 8 and June 16: Backyard camp with no masks or social distancing (Candace's child attends)

Somewhere in here, Candace was dxed with Coronavirus, because there is a post about Ashley bringing her soup.

Early June (rumored)-mommy fitness camo at Ashley's house

June 18: Ballet Fundraiser and party at Ashley's house

Not exactly. Candace was dx'ed after the party. But there's been handful of kids who've tested positive since the party, and not all of them attended the camp (exposed thru their parents).

IG link to the Ashley Candace soup post for timeline? If it was in March it could be a second infection.

Ashley's kids attended backyard camp too.

I'm disappointed that the second WaPo article, the one discussing the infections Ashley caused at the Gala didn't also update on the infections secondary to the backyard party, the health status of those infected at the party, or the infections resulting from the backyard camps. And why didn't it tell us the backyard camp owner's family had had mild, albeit whiny, cases in April? I get that the first article was breaking rather than in-depth but subsequent ones should have dug more and given us the info we need.

Which second article?

Which second article?

The camp company is still posting on insta re ongoing sessions, including pics, on which Candace has commented “🙌🏼.” This just seems insane.

she's in a lot of pain and uses social media to ignore it.

Honest question for people bagging on the backyard camp. There are many camps in the area still running ie head first and others. There are many more kids in those camps than a backyard one with selected friends vs strangers. Yet I don’t see threads talking about head first being irresponsible.

Oh that’s not what bored housewives like to talk about though because they’re actually shipping their kids off to those places. Shhhhhh

Tbh, I struggled with whether or not to send my kid to something similar but ultimately decided against it. To each her own. In this case, though, the woman ran camps during phase one of the lockdown, when they were specifically prohibited by law. I’d also like to think that camps like Head First, who are operating only now that they’re legally allowed to do so, are not jamming 12 unmasked kids under a small jungle gym for the sake of a photo op.

This. The "camp" director broke the rules, like Ashley did for the party. And she seems to have no shame about it since she's still posting.
