I don't know the details of the court case--and I was against the change--but, I agree with this.

The SB has a lot of power--including the power to ignore their constituents and make silly fiscal decisions like spending a million dollars to change the name of a school.

And good for them for publicizing the issue. Better to bring awareness and get it addressed now. Imagine how expensive it'd be to change the name in 10 years? It's just a shame it was changed decades ago. Would have been cheaper.

Is there a donation section for Legal fees - FCPS budget for legal was a cool 2 million. Guess it will be even more this year, because of bogus lawsuits

Its been around $2M every year for the past 5 yrs and perhaps more (see the Program Budget). They pay retainers to lawyers to handle the legal business of the Board and Administration. There's always some issue that takes extra time. I don't expect the renaming issue generated much additional work or you would have heard about it from the "change" advocates.

If you were really genuinely as furious as you claim to be, you'd be trying to get to them to tell them to donate, but instead you burn a lot of time and energy here and tracking the FCPS tally of donations.
