I think Corey was pretty good from the start, and has only gotten better. He's just a country boy content to settle down with his wife, raise his little family, go to work everyday and live a modest life while splurging on a new truck or boat. My only beef with him is his complete denial of the realities of his daughter's MD diagnosis. He's ready for her to "prove em all wrong" rather than helping her find ways to do what others can do, but in her own way. They really the situation as fighting against being disabled, rather than accepting that she is differently abled. I mean, Jesus God, he swears he's going to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. |
Fixed that for you! Couldn't help myself
And yes, you're right. He really was good from the start and I'm not giving him enough credit. And I also agree with your point on not accepting the reality of Ali's diagnosis. |
I cried like a baby when he comforted her about her cheating a few seasons back. He was so upset. You could tell he was a good person and truly crushed. |

Can we take a moment to point out how scary/controlling David is? He is going to put Jenelle (and maybe the kids too) in the bottom of that backyard lake one day. He inserts himself between Nathan and Jenelle when they're discussing their shared child and insists that Nathan's trying to get back with Jenelle, when it sounds like he's pretty much just trying to discuss Kaiser's behavior and logistics of handing him off. Jenelle seems like she has to defend her own actions to him and remind him all the time how loyal she is to him. Even the way he puts his hands on her pregnant belly is creepy... it's not the "I'm excited to be a dad and my baby's in there, so cool!" It's just "This is MINE." Just like he threw Barb out of "his" house last season, while holding Kaiser and claiming they were "his kids." (loved Barb--"Um, that's NATHAN's child.)
Jenelle used to go out all the time, but it seems like with David she's with him at home or wherever always. That might sound like it's a good thing, but you know it's not because Jenelle is finally settling down and ready to be a full time mom. It seems like David doesn't want her around other people. And let's not forget Jenelle's "...and you see that in my texts to him." Soooo, David reads over her texts to Nathan? No, not creepy at all... |
I love Jo! Never thought I would say that in the early days of the show, but the man has transformed! Perhaps the influence of his lovely fiancée has helped. |
David and his weird peeling face are creepy. |
| Chelsea should do something about her hair before a family of birds takes up residence. |
The crazy thing is, she's SO pretty. When you wash off all the makeup, her real face is pretty. I think all we need to do is kidnap her, deep condition the hell out of her hair, NOT tease it, and she'll look beautiful. |
Yup.

I was assuming those are extensions...they need to go, perhaps they will when she has to take care of the new baby. |
She's hiding behind all of it. I don't know why she's so insecure. But she obviously is. She consults her dad about EVERYTHING. |
I think that's just her show image because she's much less made up in her Instagram pictures. She also got a lot of negativity for a few years when she was heavier and her skin was still breaking out. Seems like she's gone to the opposite now. And I think her consulting Randy is just to get her POV across on TV. Cole has said he doesn't really want to be on Tv and he doesn't want to talk about Adam on camera. Randy is her person to make it look natural when she's trying to show all the bad things Adam does. And unlike Kail and Jo or Corey and Leah, Adam and Chelsea don't talk at all. |

re: Chelsea and her dad... I really think Randy is just one of those dads with daughters who is totally approachable, ready to help in any situation, and easy to talk to. Growing up, my own dad was not like that at all, but one of my best friends' dads was, and he was like a surrogate dad for all of us in the little friendship circle. To this day, he still refers to us as his "extra daughters" (and funny, he is also a dentist!) Their house was a big hangout spot and he was just very dad-like to all of us. He's still very, very involved in his daughters' lives, even though they're in their 30s. Nothing inappropriate or overshadowing their husbands, but he's the one they go to with financial questions or car trouble or how to handle a major plumbing issue, etc. I think anybody who has a dad like that is going to go to him when he is needed. If you don't have a dad like that, you'll figure it out on your own, which I'm sure Chelsea would if Randy didn't exist. But thankfully he does exist, so she goes to him.
He also seems to be a support for some of the other girls as well--when Leah's daughter had two teeth pulled, some people on Twitter were jumping on her because the girls drink soda and it was assumed that the teeth had rotted out. Randy was quick to step in with his dental expertise and defend Leah by giving the most common reasons for pulling teeth at that age were to ease tooth crowding and to make room for adult teeth that were coming in before the baby ones fell out. He just seems like a protective, loving dad that I would certainly lean on if he was my pops! I think one of the reasons Chelsea seemed so stuck on Adam was that she wanted Aubree to have a dad in her life like she does. One thing I give Chelsea credit for is that she understands how much Aubree really needs BOTH parents in her life, and her frustration and anger at Adam is rooted in how his behavior affect Aubree, not because she (Chelsea) feels slighted or thinks he treats HER poorly. |
I'm happily married with 2 kids and I still call my dad to talk about stuff. Not baby daddy issues or child support problems, but stuff.

I'm catching up on season 7. Just watched the episode with Javis homecoming.
I don't watch any of the specials so maybe I'm missing something, but Jesus God WTF happened?!? Why is Kale being so mean?!? Is he not a soldier...her husband!...who is just getting home from a deployment and she's fighting with him over car seats?!? And Isaac is breaking my heart, how he doesn't understand that he won't have a room at Javis house. Ugh! What happened?!? He seems like such a nice guy and Miss Tattoo is being such a B!!! |
