re: Chelsea and her dad... I really think Randy is just one of those dads with daughters who is totally approachable, ready to help in any situation, and easy to talk to. Growing up, my own dad was not like that at all, but one of my best friends' dads was, and he was like a surrogate dad for all of us in the little friendship circle. To this day, he still refers to us as his "extra daughters" (and funny, he is also a dentist!) Their house was a big hangout spot and he was just very dad-like to all of us. He's still very, very involved in his daughters' lives, even though they're in their 30s. Nothing inappropriate or overshadowing their husbands, but he's the one they go to with financial questions or car trouble or how to handle a major plumbing issue, etc. I think anybody who has a dad like that is going to go to him when he is needed. If you don't have a dad like that, you'll figure it out on your own, which I'm sure Chelsea would if Randy didn't exist. But thankfully he does exist, so she goes to him. He also seems to be a support for some of the other girls as well--when Leah's daughter had two teeth pulled, some people on Twitter were jumping on her because the girls drink soda and it was assumed that the teeth had rotted out. Randy was quick to step in with his dental expertise and defend Leah by giving the most common reasons for pulling teeth at that age were to ease tooth crowding and to make room for adult teeth that were coming in before the baby ones fell out. He just seems like a protective, loving dad that I would certainly lean on if he was my pops! I think one of the reasons Chelsea seemed so stuck on Adam was that she wanted Aubree to have a dad in her life like she does. One thing I give Chelsea credit for is that she understands how much Aubree really needs BOTH parents in her life, and her frustration and anger at Adam is rooted in how his behavior affect Aubree, not because she (Chelsea) feels slighted or thinks he treats HER poorly.
