McLean has aspire. So does VRSC in Loudoun.

Ahhh, I think most people view RL > GA Aspire.

I think most people without an agenda think local RL and GA are roughly equivalent when considering the leagues as a whole, with some top GA teams being one notch up. GA aspire is a significant step down in overall competition from either.

Not the PP, but here's what's happening. NVA/Loudoun gamed the system last year to get two GA teams--one for NVA and one for Loudoun--because they're officially separate entities on paper, but everyone knows it's the same club. This effectively allowed them to have two GA teams in the same club which is great for marketing and money for the club.

The challenge they ran into was that, because the talent hierarchy is NVA GA->Loudoun GA->Loudoun Aspire, NVA GA doesn't have a second team to pull from in-season when injuries start to mount because they're the only official team in their program. I don't know what the financial relationship is between RBFC and NVA, but now NVA can market and develop a little more in-season player depth. In reality, when it comes to talent promotion, you're still more likely to have a better chance of joining NVA GA if you're on the Loudoun GA team than this new NVA/RBFC Aspire team.

Nah it’s all about the money as all is not well in NVA-land these days. Dwindling numbers at ID sessions, internal strife within Loudoun about officially separating these 2 entities for good. This will be a catalyst to do that. NVA will have more funds and potentially their own field space. Believe me Loudoun admin and families can’t wait for this to happen. NVA is an albatross.

No one who moves to these teams will be playing at the Jeff cup anyway. Whatever teams they end up fielding will be NCSL girls.

So if the teams fill up with girls who want to play am confused why you claim that it’s bizarre. Where would you put the cut line to prevent a girl that wants to play because they aren’t decent enough for you?

Girls who are on loudoun GA or GA aspire cannot play with NVA during the season. NVA during the season can only pull non-GA girls. Hence why they are likely doing this. (So it gives them an extended bench) Now add the money factor.

In the end this further erodes teams. As they get older the TD rather poach current ECNL players or GA players. An Aspire player has almost no chance. NVA coaches rarely if any ever watch B teams. And communication is very limited between the coaches.
