Could not disagree more. The sugar cane backdrop added a lot of visual unity. The flags ended it with a strong statement that drove home the verbal message.

The visual depictions of latino culture and verbal and visual shout outs to NYC and Puerto Rico worked.

I don’t even know anything that bad bunny sings and certainly didn’t understand the show being in Spanish, but I thought it was a visually stunning show as well. It was very different than anything in the past.

And I understood the message about it being entirely in Spanish. If it were normal times, I’d say the Super Bowl is an annoying time to make political statements, but Trump and his admin are monsters so I actually think it was brave of bad bunny to use this platform to send a message.

The message you are oblivious to is you Dems are at historical lows in terms of popularity.

And yet, they are destroying Republicans in elections where Trump won double digits last year.

My own prediction is Democrats are going to end up with a supermajority in the House and close to it in the Senate. And this time, the Senate will vote to convict on the impeachment charges.

The set up was incredible. They couldn’t truck in the plants or set because it would damage the field, so those plants are PEOPLE!!

The only really disappointing thing to me was that the grass people didn't dance. When I noticed they were people during the setup I got so excited expecting a big reveal moment when the grasses would bust out in full choreography. But alas, no grass flash mob.

Agreed- I can't imagine the logistics it took to pull that off. It took so very many people working together to bring this show to fruition. I wish there had been a behind-the-scenes video diary of the days and months leading up to the show.

My guess is that the grass people were a last minute addition to get around the inability to truck in actual plants onto the field. Have them bust out in dance would have been too distracting if not planned from the beginning.
