Israel Rules Out Ground Troops in Any U.S. Operation in Iran, Media Reports

Israel sets a "firm red line" regarding a potential U.S. ground invasion of Iran.

Kind of reminds me of Israel's support during Iraq. . I guess their soldiers are more focused on terrorizing women and children and civilians in general.

Israel is a bully. It only sends in ground troops to countries with weak military weapons. Look how they are marching into Lebanon because Lebanon does not have a military.

Israel is the size of New Jersey and you are calling it a bully. That is so off base and untrue. You just don’t like Israel because it is Jewish. Just say what you mean.

Israel's religion is entirely irrelevant. Its actions are not.

Again— just say what you mean. Utter the words.

I said it, though I know it's inconvenient to the narrative you're desperately grasping onto. I don't care if Israel is atheist, Catholic, Jewish, etc. Their government is bad for the US and bad for the region.

Because they are Jewish. You do care. If they were Islamist you would love them.

You are the only one that's making this about Judaism. From what I can see, every one else is criticizing the government's actions, not their religion. Several people have pointed this out to you, but you keep on trying to turn it back to a place where you can be painted as a blameless victim. Just stop, because you aren't fooling anyone.

The fact that no one criticizes Iran is telling.

Here. Let me help you out.

The Iranian government is awful. It is full of religious wingnuts that are not acting in the best interest of its people or anyone else. So is Israel. Its government is awful. It is full of religious wingnuts that are not acting in the best interest of its people or anyone else.

The problem for the US is that we are materially supporting Israel. With our money, and our kids' lives. At the expense of our own country, and the betterment of the lives of our own people. Leave the Middle East alone. Let them figure out their own shit.

Very. Or, if they do criticize Iran, they’re screamed at for being “Zionists” even if they aren’t. I’m not a Zionist at all, but it’s very clear Iran is a sick, fanatical country.

And so is Israel's government. It's bad guy against bad guy. The US should have stayed out of it.

Iran uses children as young as 12 as their “security.” Utterly depraved and sadistic.

The death of an 11-year-old Iranian boy reportedly in an air strike while manning a security checkpoint alongside his father in Tehran has thrown focus on a new initiative to recruit children into the security services.

Last week, an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) official in Tehran told the IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency that the organisation would enrol "volunteers" aged 12 and above.

Eyewitnesses have told the BBC they have seen children, including some armed, in security roles in the capital and other cities.
Foreign-based human rights organisations have also reported Alireza's death. The Kurdish group Hengaw said he was a "fifth-grade student" who was killed while present at a checkpoint in Tehran.

Rahim Nadali, of the IRGC's Greater Tehran Muhammad Rasulollah Corps, said the new programme, known as Homeland Defender Fighters for Iran, would place children on various duties, including patrols and deployment at checkpoints.

Recruitment, he added, could take place at mosques attached to the Basij militia in Tehran, and in city squares where pro-establishment rallies have been held.

The Basij is a volunteer militia controlled by the IRGC, with an estimated one million members. It is often deployed on the streets to suppress dissent. Israel has said it recently targeted several Basij checkpoints.

In a report on the recruitment campaign, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said it was a "grave violation of children's rights and a war crime when the children are under 15".

Holly Dagres, an Iran specialist at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy think tank told the BBC that the use of children at security checkpoints "underscores the desperation of the Islamic Republic".

She said it shows "how deeply unpopular they are with their own population that it is struggling to recruit adults to staff security checkpoints and is resorting to using children in support roles during wartime".

WTF should anyone criticize Iran for? Iran is defending against an unjust war instigated by Israel and aided by our crazy POTASS. They are defending against our military being misused to kill their civilians. In the context of this war, the blame squarely sits sqaurely on Israel and Trump!

NP. Tell us the country that kills as many innocents as Israel that we (through our government) support a quarter as much. I’ll wait.

The truth is that only Israel’s supporters care that Israel emphasizes its Jewish associations. And those supporters allow it to do awful things and endlessly support it in spite of those awful things because the supporters are themselves Jewish supremacists.

And they play the same disingenuous game as what the PP is playing at. Any criticism of Israel's actions gets shouted down as antisemitic. But they overplayed their hand this time and are getting called out on it.

DP. Nope. There’s plenty to criticize Israel about. The issue is that IRAN is also a bully and is run by authoritarian, corrupt, dangerous, fanatical mullahs who commit terrorism around the world along with their proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah (to name just two).

Whenever this is pointed out, you and your crew will shout down the poster by calling them “Zionist ___ (insert slur)” and insisting they’re deflecting. That’s the very definition of disingenuous.

Well, no. That’s not deflection. The Islamic Regime of Iran is a terrorist state, plain and simple. The world acknowledges this. You don’t have to be a “Zionist” or even Jewish to understand this; I’m neither.

Wait, we were told “there’s nothing to blame Iran for”! Another poster has insisted that “Iran is moral and ethical and cares about people”! You mean this isn’t true? Color me shocked. What a disgusting, repulsive group of terrorists, using their own children like that.

The Iranian government is awful. It is full of religious wingnuts that are not acting in the best interest of its people or anyone else. So is Israel. Its government is awful. It is full of religious wingnuts that are not acting in the best interest of its people or anyone else.

Until recent years, Iran was way worse than Israel. Now, however, they're both awful. I supported helping Israel as long as there were rational people in government there who could plausibly work towards a two state solution, but Netanyahu is a God-awful man and his Cabinet is full of crazy haters. Rings a bell, doesn't it?
