Yes in fact I do listen to the podcast. He definitely brings more levity to the show but when it comes time to explaining how plays work, how they’re developed, what it means for the game, etc. if you’ll notice he always does a better job than Jason does.

My point isn’t that he’s not an excellent football player, it’s that he’s not sophisticated or worldly. I personally value those attributes and based on her obsession with Matty and long history with Joe, I think Taylor does too.

Matty is a drug addict, and Joe is an unsuccessful actor. Not exactly winners and probably exhausting to date. Travis is fun, publicly supportive of Taylor, and already one of the best in his field. I’d choose Travis too.

Matty is a rock star that sells arenas and has fans fainting from hyperventilation at his concerts. He writes beautiful, sophisticated lyrics and music. And Joe is just gorgeous. Both are way smarter, deeper, worldlier and more interesting than Travis, imo, but both were ultimately meh on Taylor because she probably is a handful and not all that without her PR.

How many times does it have to be repeated here that you are not the target audience for this type of podcast, and therefore it is not going to appeal to you. Most sports talk radio and podcasts are geared towards the type of audience who will make them money (buying the products they advertise) and therefore creating revenue, in this case 18 - 40 year old men. Therefore the topics discussed, the locker room type banter, the way they speak, and language used will most likely not appeal to you if you’re looking for intellectual worldly conversation. Stop listening to it if it’s not your cup of tea.

DP. Exactly! I have to leave the room when my husband listens to football, especially the pre-game shows. They are usually so inane I can't stand it. But my husband - a highly educated and intelligent man - loves football and the pre-game shows is all a part of it. I hate football, so I'm just not into it in any way. However, I can certainly appreciate the talent of these athletes and don't think they're "dumb" (most of them, anyway!).
