Nobel Peace Prize - Korea?

Anonymous
Obama set the bar for the Nobel Peace Prize. He was awarded the NPP for not being Bush.

Trump, on the other hand, actually did someth8ng concrete to deserve the NPP. This week’s meeting between the Korean leaders is historic and is a giant-sized step toward peace. The South Korean leader stated that the meeting would not have occurred without pressure from Trump. We should take Trump’s lead and be cautiously optimistic to ensure that we don’t get played by Kim. Do you think Trump will be considered for the NPP?

I think we should give it to Kim.

Trump has sewn discord in this country. He is the reason Charlottesville happened and why hate groups are growing. He deserves nothing but scorn.

I think this has to do more with Russia giving the NK the missile technology and SK and China working diplomatically. Ultimately, nothing happens in NK without China.

Trump, other than some bluster tweets, really hasn't done anything.

Nice speculation.

Again, tweet from Christiane Amanpour:

South Korea’s Foreign Minister tells me in Seoul that “clearly credit goes to President Trump” for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table. “He’s been determined to come to grips with this from day one,” Kang Kyung-wha says.

And,

South Korea credits Trump for talks with North @CNNI https://cnn.it/2r58XMe

I know it’s hard for some liberals (not all - just the ones who are filled with hate). How does one react to a possible peace between the North and the South? Do you rejoice because the possibility of a nuclear attack from the North has dramatically lessened even though Trump is being credited with this good news? Or, are you secretly angry that this has occurred because of your hate for Trump? Or, do you pick door number 3 and rejoice, but not credit Trump at all, even though South Korea is crediting him? Quite a quandary.

One good thing doesn’t compensate for everything else he has done poorly. It isn’t a quandary. He is the biggest loser ever to be President. If there is a prize for that he should absolutely win!! But you keep on supporting the moron. You do you.

The Nobel Peace Prize will never be given to trump and Kim Jong Un is a thug who has starved his people, imprisoning three generations of families and other, many other, crimes against humanity.

A Korean immigrant here. Most Koreans I know who live in Korea think Trump absolutely deserves a Nobel prize. But no prophet is accepted in his hometown.

You misspelled "Republican party".

Which is worse - giving a Nobel to someone who used a drone to kill his own citizens oversea or giving a Nobel to someone who uses Anti-Aircraft guns to kill a General?

Well you can have him! We don’t want him.

You can bet your life that both John Barron and David Dennison have tried to nominate rumpus dumpus to the Nobel Committee.
