War with Iran

“ The United Arab Emirates is pressing Donald Trump to order a U.S. ground invasion of Iran, a Gulf diplomat told Associated Press, with Kuwait and Bahrain also backing such an operation.”

How much money is a US war fighters life worth? Are they taking into account the ones that are just maimed and will need lifetime care?

“ The conflict’s anachronistic quality appears not just in the aging leaders who initiated it, but across the American body politic as well. The “Boomer war” approaches majority support only among Americans over 60. From there, its popularity falls with each younger cohort, until bottoming out around a mere one-in-five adults under 30”

Surely, Trump will be the last boomer president right?

I don’t think he’s a boomer, he’s too old. I think he’s born before baby boom.

You are wrong, he's beginning of the baby boom, June '46, conceived after WW2. His mum hit the celebratory sauce, and this is what we got.

Tiffany looks the most like him.

He’s older than President GW Bush and President Clinton

All three born summer of '46, and all three suck.

I wonder how MAGA feels about foreign countries asking American soldiers to die for them.

Cowards. They're afraid what Iraq will do to these fake monarchies when the US leaves the ME. They'd rather save their fortune than save their economies. Who's going to go back to live or invest in UAE when they'll forever have a target on their back?

Robert Pape's newest assessment in order for Iran to agree to a deal is that it starts with Israel.

It has to start with:
US has to stop foreign aid to Israel and not give military support. Iran would probably demand that the US Congress vote on this.

He also said that if Israel uses a nuke, radiation blowback would happen in the Persian gulf states, and Israel will basically cease to exist by 400 million angry muslims.

I know UChicago is bleeding money these days but those two need a bonus. They're literally on every podcast and news program (except MSM of course) and no one has the balls to challenge them. Because no one can.

Tucker was right about one thing…notice how the Israelis want to bomb and destroy Persia and its beauty

There is nothing classically of beauty in Israel like you see in Isfahan

Israel is actually really ugly

Persian aesthetics mog Israeli lack of aesthetics

If that is so, then both Robert Pape and Iran have wildly overestimated their position. Israel has been weakened by this "excursion" but it isn't being abandoned.

White House signals willingness to end hostilities...“.. setting the stage for Iran to continue to flex its strategic position over one of the world's busiest oil shipping channels ..”

I mean, nothing has been achieved other than screwing the global oil markets, farmers, and just about everyone else, though I am sure Trump, his family and a bunch of 1%ers made bank front running trades.

Nothing accomplished? We spent $100bn to take out the ayatollah, who was 86 years old, and more moderate than his successor, and had one foot in the grave.

So much winning!

Bruh just read his shit and stop sounding so dumb. He has a substack. The guy literally has had the ears of every president since W, he trains and advises military officers, and has a vast network of people that he speaks with.

To answer your question, and because of the gambler's curse, Trump will double down on invasion and lead to 1000s of dead soldiers and a quagmire. This will lead to the end of his presidency and/or an even worse agreement with Iran.

Basically, every rung the escalation ladder goes up, Iran can negotiate for more. And Trump is too much of a narcissist but to keep doubling down.

And if you think he's wrong, his conclusions have basically been backed up by numerous retired officers as well as fellow colleagues.
