The Mueller Report

Anonymous
April 9th House Appropriations Hearing, under oath

CRIST: Reports have emerged recently, general, that members of the Special Counsel's team are frustrated at some level with the limited information included in your March 24th letter ... Do you know what they are referencing with that?

BARR: No, I don't.

April 10th Senate Hearing, under oath

VAN HOLLEN: Did Bob Mueller support your conclusion?

BARR: I don't know whether Bob Mueller supported my conclusion.

From WaPo, in case anyone want to read this noteworthy segment:

"In that call, Mueller said he was concerned that media coverage of the obstruction investigation was misguided and creating public misunderstandings about the office’s work, according to Justice Department officials. Mueller did not express similar concerns about the public discussion of the investigation of Russia’s election interference, the officials said. Barr has testified previously he did not know whether Mueller supported his conclusion on obstruction.

When Barr pressed Mueller on whether he thought Barr’s memo to Congress was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not but felt that the media coverage of it was misinterpreting the investigation, officials said."

This is the spin from Barr's buddies at DOJ - feeding some red meat to the right-wing spin machine, ie:, "blame the media"

I'd like to hear what Mueller has to say about this phone call. At this point these quotes sound like they're continuing Barr's cover up.

“...officials said.” So, that interpretation did not come from Mueller it from Barr directly, but from an anonymous DOJ official repeating Barr’s self-serving account of what Mueller said.

Barr has lost trust and his officials cannot be trusted to speak truth regarding what Mueller said during the phone call.

Only Mueller can say in his conversation were. So, why is DOJ trying to stop Mueller from testifying?

The answer is self evident.

Barr has a tell when hes a lyin; he lowers his voice a full register and he also does a little shimmy shake squirm in his seat.

This from "journalist" Glenn Greewald, didn't age well

I hope I'm not putting this too harshly, but you have to be the world's dumbest person to believe Mueller filled his report with incriminating collusion claims, but he - and his whole team - are sitting silently while his long-time friend Bob Barr lies about what's in his report.

Weren’t you the guys telling us it was all going to come out in the mueller report? Didn’t that colossal moron John Brennan tell us that collusion would be the tip of the iceberg?
And now we have the report and it’s no soup for you.
And now you’re saying that the report is wrong and bill barr can’t be trusted and the only righteous man in Washington, Bob Mueller, needs to testify in front of congress to tell us, what exactly?
That you all can’t read and his 2 year report really does exonerate the president?
Can’t wait.

Barr seems to be stopping short of saying that Trump’s actions cannot be viewed as obstruction. He keeps saying “the government would have difficult proving” it.

Sigh. Still cozying up to Putin.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/03/us/politics/trump-putin-phone-call.html

President Trump said on Friday that he discussed the “Russian Hoax” with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, in their first conversation since the release of the special counsel’s report, which found that “the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion.”

In a pair of midday tweets, Mr. Trump said he and Mr. Putin had a “long and very good conversation” in a phone call that lasted over an hour and covered a wide range of issues, including trade, nuclear arms control, Ukraine, North Korea, and Venezuela.

You really need to hear from mueller? What a joke! Mueller spent $35m and two years to put together his report. Now you need to talk to him because you have “questions”? Good luck with that.
