Any updates? Is the boy out of a coma? If the girl/daughter/girlfriend was involved in this, will the public know or is she protected as a minor?

I am still in disbelief that the killer is being charged as a minor. Apparently, he is well enough to survive this long, so there is a chance that he could serve out his sentence in juvenile detention.

This case really exposes the prejudice involved in charging juveniles as adults.

I thought any killing would involve charging a juvenile as an adult. You're right this is what I've read in every other case.

How does it work if the person is severely cognitively impaired. My guess is if he gets out the hospital he will have the mental capacity of someone under 5.
