In his write up of this thread, Jeff said,

According to news reports, Peres Magalhaes has been seen caring for the Banfield's child but it is "unclear whether she was still working in her capacity as an au pair".

Thanks to all who shared, both those familiar with the au pair program, visa requirements and neighbors which clarified that she was apparently finishing her second year caring for the Banfield child. None of the previous au pairs had rematched, maybe circumstantial, but it's striking that Juliana was only mentioned once on Christine's IG, unlike prior, and not pictured. Wonder how soon the affair started?

Even if they never had an au pair, Brendan would still be someone capable of this. It is chilling. He just looks like a middle aged dad who is putting on a few pounds, although seems thinner in FOB snap. Ordinary. Not like a monster.

Some people even strike a plea deal in such circumstances.

They, and also his mother, all seem attention seeking and arrogant. Maybe that will be their downfall?

NP. The fact that JP only featured once on CB IG does not signify anything in and of itself. It seems that their previous AP was especially close to CB and the current one was not on the same level. But Peres must have done an alright job and not raised any suspicion in CB to have extended for a 2nd year.

My heart really goes out to CB. She must have had a really tough 3 years with the pandemic, given her profession. Having just come out of it and then this horrible end.

I mean that was 2019 on move in day. They definitely coukd have added a keypad since then.

They either let him in or gave him the code, maybe a neighbor can speak to keyless entry.

I'm sure Fairfax PD checked out cameras of neighboring homes for vid of Joe etc accessing the home.
