Watch the movie Twelve Angry Men if you don't understand what happens in a jury room. They also get all of the audio, video, written and photographic evidence to review. |

For the second 911 call, was it ever explained if Julianna put the call on speaker phone? When BB provides address and other info - can we hear him clearly because Julianna switched to speaker phone? Or did she hand him the phone?
Wondering if either JM or BB testified about this aspect of BB handling her phone (or not) during the 911 call. |
I served on a jury in Fairfax County a few years ago. The man was on trial for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute. The trial lasted two days. We first had to pick our foreman. That alone took probably at least 15 minutes. We did ask to see some of the evidence (the drugs.). We had to call our officer who then retrieved the drugs and brought them into the room. I also remember asking the judge some questions and that took awhile to get an answer back. I took my job very seriously. I am a very trusting person and wanted to make sure that I was convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that he was guilty. We did not take a quick vote immediately. We talked about the evidence before taking our first vote. It took us several hours to reach our verdict. Maybe I would approach it differently if I knew the individual was on trial for killing two people. But I would still want to talk through all the evidence - Juliana's testimony, the blood, 911 calls, fetlife, etc. I'm not surprised at all that they didn't make a decision on Friday - they just didn't have enough time. |

If I was on a jury, I would want to make sure that I had reviewed all the evidence, looked again through the various exhibits and testimony that I'd heard, and really done a deep dive on everything. I'd want to discuss all of it with the others to get their take and see if they had a different perspective and if they did, I'd want to talk through that thoroughly and consider what they are saying and discuss/debate it.
When you are talking about putting someone away for life, I would want to be sure I had been really thorough and considered absolutely everything. There is no hurry to make a decision- and I'd hate to feel like I'd been hasty and been pressured into a decision without doing my own due diligence on it. I would absolutely do this even if I was already 99% sure which direction I would vote as far as guilty or not guilty. |
| Not sure if I've missed this but has BB addressed JM's very different version of the truth? |
|
I believe his lawyer claimed JPM made it up and said that she had had access to discovery before taking a plea so shaped story based on that.
Her testimony is supported by forensics. His makes no sense and it was proven he was lying re: various aspects. |
| I once spent three days in a jury room discussing one element of a non-violent crime. I think our deliberations were longer than the trial. Juries can be wild because it just takes one person to throw the discussion…. |
It looks like Friday was first proposed by the “Annastasia” account on 2/20 (they were often doing this like 11pm-1am and everything is UTC time so it’s confusing to me whether it’s Sunday evening or Monday). It doesn’t seem like they finalize so to speak, the account just says they’re thinking Friday morning. The next evening (Mon?) looks like the 45 minute call. Looks like a start of another evening chat (Tues?), Joe says how was your day to start it There’s a gap in the messages (Wed?) and then the “Anna” account comes back with “sorry I couldn’t get online last night” (Thurs?) It already says 2/24 UTC time and in that series of messages is when the address is given to Joe. So late Thursday or early Friday was when the address and time were finalized. Working backwards again I didnt pull up a UTC converter but at most this was planned over the week. Which makes me wonder why they couldn’t get online Wednesday. On the stand Brendan said he celebrated the day before his birthday with Christine and their child, and they went to Korean BBQ. That would be Wednesday. But they were usually getting on late so I don’t see how that would affect things unless Christine was up later? Maybe Brendan and Julia had a come to Jesus moment there and decided to proceed? |
He submitted a bunch of letters showing how depressed she was in jail. There was testimony about some kind of health crisis/surgery she had. At that point she decided to flip and match her story to the evidence, according to the defense. |
No and I have thought about this often. He is still protecting her. |
He isn't protecting her. He doesn't care one whit about her. She was convenient for sex and a convenient partner to help murder two innocent people. If he's convicted, he is going to appeal. He keeps working her because she could very well recant. I'm not saying any of this will work for him, but no doubt this lovey stuff is an act. |
|
If he loved her he would have married her in the 7 months between the murders and her arrest. She had a pressing visa issue with few solutions, marriage being one of them. It would have had some legal advantages for him. Yet, he did not.
The letters were narc love bombing drivel to keep her from taking a plea. Would he f$ck her given the chance? Sure but that is probably true re: almost anyone. He liked the thrill of plotting this, in part it was a thrill kill to show how smart he is. Planning to move to Brazil with her was a solution to some of his issues, yet still, no marriage. |

CW found plane tickets to Brazil. There is an extradition treaty with US but it can be a years long process.
Curious what he was going to do for work there but the COL was low so sale of the house would last a long time. |

If BB was going to pin it on JPM he would have had to do so the day of killings. Once he went with his scripted fake story he was stuck. So he and Tess worked hard and consistently for a long time to keep her sweet on BB.
May BB be convicted today and may Tess be charged for and convicted of witness tampering for her documented threats to Juliana trying to ensure her silence. I hope V is reunited with CB’s family very soon and raised by them. She almost needs a deprogrammed at this point. |
| Simple question. Will jury deliberations begin today at 9:00 or 10? |
