| Ha- wombs mean won’t |
There are so many potential answers to this. They: possibly didn't treat her all that great, so she wrote negative songs about them. They possibly knew what they asked of her in terms of hiding, not being open, and understood her potential feelings on that. They might be bitter themselves. Who the h$ll knows. But it's clear that he's far more open in his adoration of her than anyone she has ever dated in the past. He's so happy to be with her and it shows. So even if they split up, it won't be because he didn't care enough to show up in the relationship. |
I'd like to think that by mid-30s, people have enough life experience and maturity to not slam their exes, and also not make money off of it. |
She didn't write bad lyrics about Taylor or Joe A. |
Oh didn’t she write TTPD mostly last year in her mid 30s? |
Sounds like you have not listened to her first album, which showcases her twang. To the person who said her mom was from Houston, Taylor sported a Tennessee twang and accent--not a Texan one. Taylor moved to Tennessee around age 14 after living in PA, which is in the north. "KEY TAKEAWAYS Researchers observed a shift from Swift’s Southern drawl to a neutral accent, reflecting artistic evolution and potential “bilingualism.” This change highlights authenticity and societal expectations in the music industry. Swift’s case study reveals the complex link between language, cultural navigation, and artistic expression. Researchers looked into the nuances of how Swift’s early music, characterized by a Southern or Tennessee drawl, gradually shifted towards a more Northern USA accent in her recent pop endeavors. Taylor Swift’s vocal transformation offers an intriguing exploration into the intersection of music and personal identity, as observed by scholars from The University of Chester." https://www.ccn.com/news/culture/taylor-swifts-changing-voice-from-country-twang-to-pop-tone/ |

More on Taylor's shifting accent.
I'm not sure why y'all deny she had a twang? Girl knew how to succeed. "The researchers suggest that Swift’s ability to seamlessly navigate between the linguistic styles of her country origins and pop inclinations may be indicative of a new form of bilingualism. This skill, while prominent in Swift’s career, is part of a larger movement among artists aiming to connect with a more varied audience through linguistic adaptation, illustrating the intricate relationship between language, identity, and cultural reach." https://www.ccn.com/news/culture/taylor-swifts-changing-voice-from-country-twang-to-pop-tone/ |
Yes, there are professors studying the changes in her accent and considering that a form of "bilingualism." They have conferences now about Taylor Swift with people presenting their papers about her and her work. |
| RIP thread. It was fun while it lasted. |
A resurgence is in the future for this thread.Taylor and Travis still have drama ahead as they do not make it to the altar. Hang in there. |
Do you have any hobbies? Seriously? And no one denied she had a twang/southern accent. You seem to be the only person beating this dead horse - no one else cares. |
| Have people seen the mashup she did for him at the Amsterdam concert? That was amazingly beautiful. |
It was adorable. |
You’re incorrect. Upthread, people denied she had a twang. I find the subject interesting and even more interesting that academics study the topic and present their findings at Taylor Swift conferences. If you don’t, no biggie. |
I still don’t get what made it amazingly beautiful. Maybe you need to be a Swiftie to fully appreciate it? I do love a few of her albums, but I’m not a Swiftie. |
