It's relevant because we're seeing the same "love story" play out on repeat with Taylor. At this point they're in the publicly besotted stage. Next, they'll move into the steady comfortable stage, which for Taylor is the disillusioned, bored stage. Travis will be on his way out, Taylor will release her side to be combed through.

Joe is the After to Travis's Now.

WTAF are you talking about? You clearly know absolutely nothing. And it's utterly irrelevant to speak about Joe's depression/non-depression in a thread about Taylor Swift and her current boyfriend. It's irrelevant to speak about any former relationship in a thread about her and her current boyfriend. You just hate her. It's OK to hate her, but damn woman get a hobby that doesn't involve all this hate.

OK. The "actual f**k" I was talking about (I'm not the one you've been sparring with), is that it makes sense to talk about Joe Alwyn's treatment as Taylor's boyfriend because it's the same trend. Her behavior toward Travis is going to follow the same basic pattern as it did for everyone before him. I don't hate Taylor.

You say “is going to follow the same basic pattern” as if you know it as fact. The truth is maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Can’t everyone have some fun with it while it’s going good and hope that maybe, just maybe, it will work out? No two men are alike in all ways, and certainly Travis, as do we all, has his faults. But maybe there is some combination he has, be it his comfort level with the fame part of it, his support, his work ethic, his values, maybe even his goofy sense of humor, that others have not had, that will make it work this time.

It will turn out like the others. If you want, we can start a list of possible "reasons" the fans will settle on (often led by clues). Travis was caught Liking someone else's social media. Travis cheated outright. Travis was too dumb to keep up with Taylor's genius. Travis was fame hungry and he used her. (this is where I'd put my money for the pitchfork fan fury). If everyone's feeling generous when it ends, the story will be Travis and Taylor were both too busy with their careers and are parting while having forever love and support.

Who knows. People are people. They can be great for each other and one does a little thing on the wrong day and it is over. Having said that, good chance they are getting married. Travis has not cheated on her. That is nonsense. He is not as talented in song writing but is likely as smart given her given her lack of education and the fact she is stuck at 22. She cannot have a relationship with a guy who has no money. I think that is clear to her. Travis has the money, is ok with the fame and the circus, and worships her. They is likely a done deal already. But people are people.

Her lyrics will out the reason. Be patient.

No matter what happens I doubt there will be bad lyrics about Travis unless it is sort of the one that got away. She is smitten and is treating him different. There could be a breakup but unless it was for cheating then I really doubt anything bad would be said.

DP. I agree. If they do break up, I bet it will be amicably.

So if she wombs write bad lyrics about Travis- why? Past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior and she has written bad lyrics about all the other guys.
Why do you think she wrote bad lyrics about all the other guys?
Why do you think Travis will be immune?

Do you think all the other guys being fairly silent is an indicator of guilt that they were the negative I fkuece in the relationship?

There are so many potential answers to this. They: possibly didn't treat her all that great, so she wrote negative songs about them. They possibly knew what they asked of her in terms of hiding, not being open, and understood her potential feelings on that. They might be bitter themselves. Who the h$ll knows. But it's clear that he's far more open in his adoration of her than anyone she has ever dated in the past. He's so happy to be with her and it shows. So even if they split up, it won't be because he didn't care enough to show up in the relationship.

I'd like to think that by mid-30s, people have enough life experience and maturity to not slam their exes, and also not make money off of it.

Even better, how about a separate post for the haters to hate and leave the rest of us to enjoy some positivity.

How about you stop calling people "haters" when they point out that TS has trained her fans to look for Easter eggs and that conveys to fan speculation about Joe's mental health?

We could also talk about how she used "gay" as a insult on her first album. She changed the lyric and never mentioned it again. She also used to have a fake country accent.

Plenty of artists evolve and realize that something they said or did a long time ago should be changed or removed now. As for her accent, her own mother has a southern accent and she grew up with one. You can hear it on her old home movies. If anything, she obviously had to work at *getting rid* of her accent to appeal to a wider demographic.

Taylor grew up mostly in Pennsylvania…

Her mom is from Houston and has a southern accent. They moved to Nashville when TS was only 14. She came by her southern accent naturally and you can look up any number of videos of her before they even moved to TN and hear it for yourself.

Okay. We can see if Austin had such a strong accent with a big ol’ twang at the same age after living most of their childhood in PA surrounded by students and teachers with no southern accent. 😂

She doesn’t have a “twang”

Sounds like you have not listened to her first album, which showcases her twang.

To the person who said her mom was from Houston, Taylor sported a Tennessee twang and accent--not a Texan one. Taylor moved to Tennessee around age 14 after living in PA, which is in the north.

"KEY TAKEAWAYS
Researchers observed a shift from Swift’s Southern drawl to a neutral accent, reflecting artistic evolution and potential “bilingualism.” This change highlights authenticity and societal expectations in the music industry.
Swift’s case study reveals the complex link between language, cultural navigation, and artistic expression.
Researchers looked into the nuances of how Swift’s early music, characterized by a Southern or Tennessee drawl, gradually shifted towards a more Northern USA accent in her recent pop endeavors.

Taylor Swift’s vocal transformation offers an intriguing exploration into the intersection of music and personal identity, as observed by scholars from The University of Chester."

More on Taylor's shifting accent.

I'm not sure why y'all deny she had a twang? Girl knew how to succeed.

"The researchers suggest that Swift’s ability to seamlessly navigate between the linguistic styles of her country origins and pop inclinations may be indicative of a new form of bilingualism.

This skill, while prominent in Swift’s career, is part of a larger movement among artists aiming to connect with a more varied audience through linguistic adaptation, illustrating the intricate relationship between language, identity, and cultural reach."

The obsession is real.

Yes, there are professors studying the changes in her accent and considering that a form of "bilingualism." They have conferences now about Taylor Swift with people presenting their papers about her and her work.

Do you have any hobbies? Seriously? And no one denied she had a twang/southern accent. You seem to be the only person beating this dead horse - no one else cares.

You’re incorrect. Upthread, people denied she had a twang.

I find the subject interesting and even more interesting that academics study the topic and present their findings at Taylor Swift conferences.

If you don’t, no biggie.

I still don’t get what made it amazingly beautiful. Maybe you need to be a Swiftie to fully appreciate it? I do love a few of her albums, but I’m not a Swiftie.
