If your child goes to Fairfax HS let them stay home 2ma
It’s weird how someone who wanted to protest for gun control is using a gun for revenge. Go figure. |
| Could you please explain what the hell you are talking about? You are freaking a lot of people out. |
| Can you report the IP address? |
|
| NP. Parents and students at Fairfax HS received a message from the school a couple of hours ago saying there was a threat made against the school on Twitter and that police is investigating. There will also be additional police presence at the school tomorrow. |
| Have the police found the kid who made the threat??? Increased police presence doesn’t make me feel better. |
| My sophomore does not want to go to school tomorrow..i am torn about it. |
| Where can we find timely updates on the situation? |
|
My child showed me two threat tweets, which were forwarded by a teacher to their class so they'd be aware. There wasn't explict mention of shooting. That said, I don't know if there were other tweets to that effect.
My kid is flipping out, though, and doesn't want to go to school. |
I’d let them stay home. Chances are it’s fake as they usually are, but you just don’t know in this climate. When this happened when I was a teen, my mom let us stay home but we had to just read and do other educational things. Didn’t want us to feel like a vacation. |
| I'd keep my kid home. I don't care if it's bullshit. |
| my nephew attends FHS, going my sister right now |
| Three of the schools in our county were evacuated today for threats. (We aren't in or near DC right now.) My teacher friend in Florida said several of their schools (including hers) were placed on lock down. The threats turned out to be kids screwing around, but it's keeping everyone on edge. It's happening all over the country, unfortunately. |
How do you know the person who called in this threat/is planning on bringing a gun is protesting for gun control? |
| There will almost certainly be an increased police presence at the school tomorrow. |
