It's interesting to see all the Iranian propaganda - and even more interesting to see people cheering them on. You don't have to be a fan of Israel to know that Iran is a dangerous, oppressive, fanatical regime. But sure, keep rooting for them.

Israel is an anti-democratic, illiberal ethnostate that has been genocidal. It’s also been a liability for America, wasting taxpayers’ money on its already wealthy citizens. Watching the Iranians smash that enemy of humanity is exquisite!

Ok. At least you're not hiding your support of a murderous, fanatical regime led by men in dresses who hate women and gay people. Hooray!! I definitely want to be on your side.

DP that is Israel. Mobs of men chasing women soldiers through the streets.

Sure, whatever you say. Let's recall that in Iran, they prefer to hang people - women as well as men.

Both countries have scads of human rights violations. Only Israel does genocide and aggressively bombs multiple countries in place of diplomacy.

Israel is getting its nose bloodied because it finally started a fight it couldn’t win. Bullies getting the sh-t kicked out of them is always entertaining!

Israel is a radical fundamentalist religious state. They hate gays and women.

True. It’s also, of all nations since the end of WWII, the closest state to the awfulness of Nazi Germany.

Now describe Iran, a terrorist state that arrests its own people and executes them if they dare to question the regime. Sounds a lot closer to Nazi Germany than Israel.

Only in your mind.

The world is truly upside down! The Washington Post has published a brilliant article, written by, get this, a professor! To give you some flavor, here are a few choice lines by
@jmurtazashvili
:

1) "We are living through the first alt-war: a conflict in which the war fought online and the war fought in reality have diverged so completely that they might as well be happening on different planets. It’s not that people lack information, it’s more that they are constructing an entirely different alternate reality — one that confirms what they already believe."

2) "What worries me more than the fake videos are the people who cannot fathom that this war is going well for the United States, for Israel and maybe even for the long-suffering people of Iran. The strategic picture is more favorable than the online narrative suggests."

3) "Two weeks into the war, I watch otherwise reasonable analysts sprint to catastrophe. Former officials, thinktank scholars, credentialed professionals who are supposed to know how to read a conflict. Within days they had written the obituary: quagmire, overreach, disaster."

4) "The liberal internationalist left and the isolationist right — two camps that have agreed on almost nothing for decades — have suddenly found themselves in lockstep, racing to declare the war a failure before it had barely begun. This is the new blob: not the old foreign-policy establishment that the term originally described but a new amalgamation that has arrived at the same conclusion from opposite directions. Together they are the most powerful engine of the alt-war."

The truth. In the mainstream media. By a professor. And written well. Four things I thought I'd never see again in my lifetime.

What a load of BS. Does not match reality. 13 US bases in the region are inoperable. Iranian missiles have the capabilities to inflict serious harm to US and Israel and have done so. The US will be forced to abandon the region because they can not maintain bases is any type of effective operational way.

Murtazashvili is a professor at the University of Pittsburgh and is co-chair of the university’s new antisemitic working group. Just more Zionist propaganda.

Seriously settlers on the border with Lebanon are abandoning their settlements. The IDF are losing tanks and getting their a$$ kicked in on the ground and Iran put two ballistic missiles within 500 ft of Shimon Peres Negev as a warning.

The “professor” should keep to what she knows best attacking students who criticize Israel.

Are you a member of the anonymous antisemitic group Steel City Antifascist League — which has a history of publishing antisemitic and anti-Zionist posts and calls for violence? Because they harassed her and her family in Pittsburgh. Sorry you hate Jewish people so much. This woman is a distinguished professor of economics and political science. You are... not.

https://murtazashvili.org/

I do not know or care about your fake antisemitism. If it gets investigated it most likely will be another false flag operation by the pro Israel crowd. Though I am sure the FBI, Mossad, Shin Bet, etc. will spend countless hours on it.

How does some random “professor” who has no subject matter expertise on Israel, the US, the media, leftist internationalists, isolationist right, etc get asked to write an opinion piece in the Washington Post?

This nonsensical opinion piece completes the downfall of the Washington Post.

Oh, hon. Peddling your desperate "false flag" BS again? As for this professor, a simple google search shows what her background is and she's absolutely qualified. Certainly far more than the wannabe pundits on this site.

It seems like it’s time for Netanyahu to open the Gaza border again and let Hamas enter with cars

You seriously need a psych eval.

Except that’s exactly what he did to silence the 2023 protests against him. He turned a blind eye to Hamas on purpose per his own military chiefs and intel advisors

Tucker just released the Bibi documentary and apparently he was also giving like 30 million a month to help prop them up and let them get armed. And Joe Kent also stated that ISIS and Al-Qaeda were working on Israels behalf. How has he not been arrested yet??

dp - the PP wasn't denying Iran's bad behavior.

They were taking issue with the claim that Iran "Sounds a lot closer to Nazi Germany than Israel."

But you knew that, and chose to be obtuse.

Everyone had to have those ridiculous yellow ribbon magnets on the back of their cars

Fast forward to today and a plurality if not majority of Americans will be rooting for the American military to lose.

😂

The only people "rooting for the American military to lose" are psychopaths. You can disagree with the war, but to actively hope the U.S. loses is some kind of crazy.

I don't want the US to lose. I want the US to pull back NOW before it loses worse.

This. Before we did this Iran’s control of the strait was only theoretical. Now we’ve given them the equivalent of a nuclear weapon with which they can hold the global economy hostage. Great work everyone.

Oh and btw we’re not pulling back. Just completely asinine.

Iran destroyed a $270 million Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS surveillance aircraft in its recent strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. But good thing Trump said that regime change was attained and the Iranian military has been defeated.

Key E-3 AWACS Damaged in Iranian Attack on Saudi Air Base
https://www.airandspaceforces.com/key-e-3-awacs-aircraft-damaged-iranian-attack-saudi-air-base/

A pivotal U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS command and control plane was among the aircraft damaged in a March 27 Iranian missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, people familiar with the matter told Air & Space Forces Magazine.

The attack injured more than 10 service members, two seriously. Among the other planes damaged are aerial refueling tankers.

U.S. Central Command has declined to comment on the incident.

Air & Space Forces Magazine has reviewed an image that shows significant damage to an E-3 at Prince Sultan Air Base. The image appears to show one of the E-3s stationed at the Saudi base, based on runway signage and aircraft markings. If confirmed, the extent of the damage to the aging aircraft likely renders it unrepairable.

Losing one of its increasingly rare AWACS—especially one that was apparently being actively used in current operations—could hamper the Air Force’s ability to manage battlefields, airpower experts said.

Experts said losing this E-3 could create gaps in the Air Force’s battlespace awareness and management, and could lead to missed opportunities to target Iranian forces.

I think Trump doesn’t care about what’s politically expedient since this is his second term. He’s also accepted that his legacy won’t be great regardless so he’s accepting the unpopular fate of a war president

We know world leaders have dirt on Trump. This makes him unqualified to be President. There is a long list of items that make him unqualified, but that’s another point. That Trump is essentially black mailable, puts us in danger. My question is what does Trump have on our “esteemed” Republican Congress and Senate???? They are not standing up to him. They’re giving him unchecked power. Why? I guess the obvious answer is power. So disturbing. IMHO, they are all complicit.

Doubling or tripling down now is insane. It is clear Iran has the upper hand, but the malignant narcissist Doesn’t care what pain gets inflicted on the country, the world, the economy. What is shocking is there is no one in the military telling him no. So off our sons go for a ground invasion that has zero chance of success.

You realize no one has to have dirt on Trump, right? He is unfit and crazy on his own! He is mentally unfit for a variety of reasons to be president. The GOP are backing him because he has been successful in implementing their policies, see Project 2025 successes.

He is naturally a gambler.
He thinks his gambles worked few times like one in Venezuela now he gambled the house.

Between 28 February and 23 March, HRA recorded at least 1,443 civilian deaths, including at least 217 children, resulting from US and Israeli airstrikes in Iran. These figures represent verified minimums and are expected to rise.
Drivers of civilian harm from US and Israeli operations identified by CIVIC, HRA, and Airwars include targeting errors and misidentification, including as a result of outdated or faulty intelligence; inadequate precautionary warnings for civilians; the use of explosive weapons in densely populated areas; and attacks on or impacting civilian and “dual-use” infrastructure, risking long-term reverberating impacts on civilians’ well-being.

Oh, I agree 100%. That’s why I also said “there is a long list of items that make him unqualified.” Blackmail is one of many!
