Everything about them is hypocritical. They go visit poor villagers in Africa then complain that they’re not ok. They complain incessantly about the BRF but have never suggested giving up their titles. They have to make money for security, but then buy a $15M mansion and it seems the money they make will never be enough. They claim to want privacy, then arrange for PR fluff pieces and obvious pap walks. They are not very bright egomaniacs. It makes for a fascinating story to follow, but I’ll never watch their Netflix shows, listen to their Spotify or buy anything Meghan tries to merch. I suspect much of their “followers” are like me- interested in the story, but not buying what they’re trying to sell.

#Metoo - the only positive thing I can say about Harry's first wife is she has good fashion sense (or her stylist does). The couple has zero self-awareness, common sense or apparently, business sense as they are floundering around trying to make any deal they can while they still have some cultural relevance - that window is closing fast.

You both come off as unhinged and a bit heavy into conspiracy.

When you slow down to watch the wreck that had you stuck in traffic is that a conspiracy? It's like watching the aftereffects of a car crash and has nothing to do with conspiracy.

True. But when you spend hours of your life posting about it and talking about it then you run into crank territory.

The Washington Post had an interesting article about this in 2017 which was long before Megxit. Notable excerpts:

"U.S. citizens are subject to U.S. tax obligations regardless of their country of residence," Peter Spiro, a Temple University law professor ... "A member of the royal family would be treated just like anyone else."

"By contrast, if Prince Harry were to move to the United States to live with Markle, he would not be expected to file taxes in Britain. ...

For Prince Harry, the issue isn't that he will suddenly end up paying U.S. income tax, but rather that Markle's American citizenship could open up the secretive finances of the royal family to outside scrutiny.

If she remains a U.S. citizen, Markle will have to file her taxes to the IRS every year ... she will be expected to annually file a document called Form 8938 that will reveal the detail of these assets, which could include foreign trusts.

This sharing of financial information with the U.S. government would probably be undesirable for the royal family, which has long preferred that its finances remain opaque.

Although Markle's tax information would not become public once sent to the United States, it would leave the royal family open not only to IRS review but also the risk that the information could leak, said Dianne Mehany, a tax lawyer at Caplin & Drysdale.

"It’s not outside the realm of possibility that a form filed by the wife of a royal would draw increased scrutiny," Mehany said. The royal family's labyrinthine fiscal arrangements were already partly exposed by the Paradise Papers leak earlier this month, which revealed that Queen Elizabeth's estate has invested money in offshore tax havens.

IMO if someone wants to watch the "American" royals, this is where the focus should be!

Nothing in this article suggests that Meghan and Harry will be in tax doo-doo. It sounds more like it opens up the BRF to tax scrutiny.

+100

It’s not that uncommon for rich Americans to marry rich non citizens. It’s not like Meghan is using turbo tax to file her returns. They can hire the same people that all these other folks use (including other European royals married to Americans).

And here we are. I don't understand posters that do this. Why are you here if not to watch this trainwreck and comment? People like to dissect celebs - if Megs and company want to be left alone, then stay out of the limelight.

They set up self-sustaining kitchens for school lunches in 3 Caribbean markets, donated to a mental health charity for black women, and donated to a homeless shelter in Texas in the wake of the snowstorm - all during Covid.

But remember, she is the devil incarnate!!! Faking her pregnancy and acting like she has the right to live her life!!

I don't think most people are either "angels" of "devils" pp. Most are a mix depending on the day.

Is it possible she faked her pregnancy?

It's because half of the things the Meghan bashers claim or believe about this woman are completely unsubstantiated or based off of hearsay. Others are just pure double standards of the most cloyingly bizarre order.

Apologies that you don't have the mental faculties to perceive sarcasm.

You mean just like the way you Meghan stans can’t shut up about William and Rose Hanbury?

Really? I didn't think that he came off all that happy on Oprah as he was whining about being cut off and needing to figure out a way to earn a living.

Yes, people living in Montecito, one of the most beautiful places in the U.S., in mansions are known to be so, so sad. They spend their days crying on the gorgeous beaches dreaming of the 80% of the year when the weather in the UK is terrible and the family they don’t get along with.

The trolls are hilarious. He responds to one question about why he left the monarchy and they can’t get over it. The rest of the interview is him describing lucrative deals, the purchase of a gorgeous mansion and his family thriving. Now he’s doing the LiveVax concert with A-lusters and heads of state. Notably no one else from the BRF was invited.

Why would the BRF be invited?

OMG
that's called coat open, belly on display, coat closed, belly in the background. Also different angles. Side view is always larger.
What a weirdo. You that is. You're the weirdo.
