None of this justifies cheating. I am just saying these twits are book smart and rich, but not a lot of common sense.
I hate to break this to you, but my kid’s preschool, which is often mentioned as one of the best in the DMV on DCUM lets kids use fairly sharp knives at ages 3-5 to cut vegetables for snack. Supervised of course, but the teachers tell me no one has lost a limb yet and that most kids have sufficient fine motor skills to handle that independence. So I wouldn’t call her a twit on that basis. As for the power tools, my son uses them in relation to his Boy Scout activities at similar ages 8-9. No the average kid that age doesn’t use them, but for a certain type of kid (crafty and independent), it’s pretty common.
