They are all twits. McKenzie apparently let her kids use sharp knives at 4 and power tools at 7 or 8 or something like that because she'd rather have resourceful kids with 9 fingers than non-resourceful kids. It's from some speech or Jeff gave. Some idiot is going to take parenting advice from these twits because they are rich and book smart and the poor kid will lose an eyeball and stab her brother. None of this justifies cheating. I am just saying these twits are book smart and rich, but not a lot of common sense.
I hate to break this to you, but my kid’s preschool, which is often mentioned as one of the best in the DMV on DCUM lets kids use fairly sharp knives at ages 3-5 to cut vegetables for snack. Supervised of course, but the teachers tell me no one has lost a limb yet and that most kids have sufficient fine motor skills to handle that independence. So I wouldn’t call her a twit on that basis. As for the power tools, my son uses them in relation to his Boy Scout activities at similar ages 8-9. No the average kid that age doesn’t use them, but for a certain type of kid (crafty and independent), it’s pretty common.
