“Tonight, we’re tracking a major development that should be setting off alarm bells across the entire world: Donald Trump is quietly backing down after escalating his reckless push to annex Greenland, and it’s happening for one simple reason.

Because people stood up to him.

CNN foreign policy expert Jim Sciutto reported that President Trump, during a weekend phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, conceded he may...

If that’s true great. He backed down on his plans to bring criminal charges on Jay Powell too (we hope). But this is a scary leader to be in charge of the free world and hope that increasingly lawless republicans rein him in….

The US is not the leader of the free world. The US is no longer apart of that. We stand with Russia, China, North Korea and Israel but are not the leader.

Don’t forget he’s amassing a major paramilitary that is unprecedented in US history. ICE budget went from 10 billion in 2024 to 30 billion in 2025.

Buying Greenland would be 700 billion to $1 trillion.

Venezuela mess - $700 billion so far, currently costing the US $9 million per day

Vanity project seven ore trivial. -

Renaming the Department of Defense to Department of WAR. Estimated cost $125 million

Building ballroom in the middle of crises $40 million

If https://didtrumpgolftoday.com/ is accurate he spent 25% of his days on the golf course in 2025 that added up to $127 million in taxpayer money. (Obama played 8 years of golf for $85 million in taxpayer money payer money.

In response to a question a from a Bloomberg journalist, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said: “China has stated its position on multiple occasions on Greenland.

“The international law underpinned by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter is the foundation of the current international order and must be upheld.

“We urge the US to stop using the so-called “China threat” as a pretext for itself to seek selfish gains.””

One of the most interesting is the congressional visit.

Let’s see republicans:
Thom Tillis Retiring
Lisa Murkowski Talking about becoming an independent

These “republicans” can not win their primaries because they are not welcome in the party.

This must scare the Europeans even more!

If Republicans want to whittle down their party to an ideological fringe that’s fine with me. Europe has its own far-right minority parties to deal with.

For anyone who doesn't subscribe to Heather Cox Richardson, today's entry about Greenland and the dissolution of the 70 year old world order is a must read.

All it takes is 4 Republicans to vote their conscience and stop this madness (in both the House and Senate.). It’s frightening that they have not done so in the interest of preventing WWIII

I think it's because stock futures tanked and titans of industry called him. In no way do I think it was diplomacy.
