Alito displayed a “stop the steal” symbol at his home

I suspect he is not letting her speak, because she would tell the truth.

Did you read the article? She sounds crazy.

Who would have thought that the Democrats and the liberal press would be in favor of marital patriarchy? I guess the left pretends to be “champions” of women and their right to self-determination - but only if it benefits them.

I'm all for it if Martha-Ann wants to divorce Alito and go live separately from him so she can raise as many flags as she wants and join as many extremist groups as she wants and cuss out and spit at as many neighbors as she wants. But as long as she's married to a SCJ - whether or not it's a man (she could be married to Elena Kagan for all I care) she and her spouse should not be signaling political views from the SCJ's home. The end.

Yep.
He is expected to "control" his wife as if she has no agency.
That is the mind of the modern liberal.

Well she's certainly not speaking up for herself.

Too bad you have no idea about the ethics that judges are supposed to hold themselves by. Guess what - "appearances" matter. They really do!

If they didn't then Trump and you Trumpsters wouldn't be foaming at the mouth about a judge whose daughter is an outspoken liberal. Care to retract your concern about Manchin's daughter, who doesn't even live with him?

Hard to tell if she is or not. If she would speak up directly, we could tell.

Mrs. Alito sounds like she is suffering from dementia.

That is not an excuse for Justice Alito to leave the flags flying for days. It is also not an excuse for either of them to claim they didn't know the current meaning of these two flags.

Ginni Thomas is in full command of her faculties. The issue is that her faculties have always tended to get bogged down in extremism. Years ago, she had to be extracted from a cult. Then she spent years working to extract other people from cults, in sometimes aggressive ways. Then she got swept up in election denialism. The woman is mentally unstable and is continually drawn to conspiracies and controversies.

Justice Thomas has plenty of grounds to recuse himself due to his wife's activities.

The conservatives have always had a much shallower intellectual pool to draw from.
Alito isn’t the equal to Kagan or KBJ.
And he has become embittered with age.
Not a great combo for a Justice.

Too funny. You're aware that RBG was quite vocal about her political views, even as a SCJ, yes?

DP. It's weird that you're addressing the PP as if you know anything about him/her.

You must be joking. I actually laughed at loud at your post.

Why “sorry liberals”?

If you are an American and a patriot, you too should consider the damage that Alito is doing to SCOTUS. That damage is ultimately worse for the United States than for “liberals”. You too should desire a SCOTUS that is above reproach and the envy of the world. Our rule of law has made us a global force to be reckoned with.

Alito is mocking the country and everything the United States stands for.

If you are an American, shame on you for not loving your country.

LOL the hysteria over the actions of a judge’s wife that even the Post saw as a non story three years ago.

Alito can't control his own wife.
But he can control your wife.

Yes and she was criticized for not being circumspect about them and apologized admitting it was wrong of her. You are aware of that, yes?

And yet you GOPers have been hysterical over a judge's daughter who doesn't even live with him.

Explain yourselves.

You’re both so simple minded. It’s not about her being a woman. It’s about professionalism and optics, two things feds are well aware they need to take seriously. If she were the justice and he were a homemaker who put the flag up, the offense wood be the same. You keep trying to make this sexism is it’s 100% not.
