Exactly. There is no comparison. |
DP. I’m “obsessed” with women’s rights to make medical decisions for themselves with their doctor without religious extremists forcing their way into the exam room. |
+1. I'm conservative but no longer consider myself a Republican after the MAGA types took over. I volunteered on Romney's campaign back when he ran. |
Exactly. There is no "both sides" here. |
I am still wondering this: WTF is wrong with 2024 Republicans/MAGAs? Why do you want to hurt others? Why do not care about facts/truth? I just don't get it. Troubled childhood? ODD? Why are you broken? |
I know this entire thread is a troll, led by you, an obvious troll. But nevertheless... - We obviously don't want to hurt others. That is silly. We could say the same about you (e.g., fetuses, otherwise known as small human beings). - We obviously care about facts/truth. Why don't you? - I agree, you clearly don't get it. No troubled childhood here and certainly no ODD. Had a great upbringing. - Not broken at all. Trying to prevent the broken progressives from breaking the world any further. |
When was the last time Republicans tried to help others or build up a community? |
Well I just googled "charitable contributions republicans vs democrats," and every result explained that Republicans are generally more charitable then Democrats. So maybe I should be asking you why Democrats don't help people more? |
Hahahahaha! I really think you believe that lmao 🤣 so scary! |
Most of that goes to churches. But let's discuss when was the last time Republicans did anything for this country that built things up, or made people's lives better in a meaningful way in government. They've controlled the House for the last two years, they controlled the Senate from 2015 - 2021 and the House, Senate and Presidency from 2017-2019 and again from 2003-2007. What have they accomplished? How far back do we have to go to find meaningful benefits other than tax cuts that Republicans have accomplished? Hell, just last week, the House GOP voted against FEMA aid to areas that are currently devastated in their own districts. |
Y'all cain't take away mah freedom. |
Tithes from church are included which skews the numbers. |
They are frightened of a future that is different.
They fundamentally and truly don’t think that any Trump/GOP policy can affect them negatively. They see tax cuts, not the inflation and exploding deficit. They want homelessness and “different people” disappearing from the streets, schools and hospitals. They don’t think they could ever end up as part of one of these groups and don’t consider that they have any responsibility towards their neighbors. They have imposter’s syndrome. They are afraid if they have to compete they won’t turn out to be the more competent person and will lose the university place, the job. They see threats everywhere: immigrants, women, trans, LGBT, POC. And it’s a zero-sum game. They will never have enough money to believe they “won” the game. |
Because there are still sane people. |
Karl Marx said: "Religion is the opium of the people. It is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of our soulless conditions.” Religion is definitely the opiate of a majority of MAGA's whose religious doctrine is diametrically the opposite of the teachings of Christ who preached love and tolerance. |
