if the progressives think Donald "Israel should finish the job" Trump is going to be better for Palestinians, then we will get the government we deserve.

The problem is it's hard to imagine life in Gaza are worse than the hell that Israel has wrought onto the people there. You have 32K dead, half of whom are innocent kids. It's just as easy to imagine Trump washing his hands of the mess and leaving the two sides to battle it out to the death. He's going to follow the money; he's not interested in getting stuck in some political and costly quagmire.
Unfortunately, in this case, Biden being the devil we know has been too much. He waited far too long to do anything about the disproportionate Israeli response.
And by the way, I'm a liberal Dem and a long-time supporter of Israel, but I am furious at Biden for his slow response to the overwhelming death of children in Gaza. The children are not Hamas, and yet Biden said too little all the while sending more and more bombs to Israel.

Another liberal who think Biden’s done an amazing jobs walking the line. He can’t change US policy overnight! We have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes but I trust him and his team. And I trust that he will pull us away from Israel is Bibi doesn’t step down soon.

Lastly, this will all change by November. Bibis days are numbered.

Biden is pandering to his far left base. Can't lose those folks in addition to the black vote, the youth vote, and the hispanic vote.

If he changes US policy toward Israel, he's toast.

It's funny isn't it. His public comments changed after the Michigan primary and Arab voters stayed home. He cannot afford to lose that state so all of a sudden he's concerned about Gaza and is being tough on Israel.

How is he pandering to the far left? What has he said that is so leftist? Being harder on Israel? Is that pandering to the left? Especially after the WCK employees were killed? Israel is losing support around the world.

He sent them more 2,000 lb bombs on Friday, the day AFTER the WCK7 were killed. How is he being tough on Israel?

This fat lefty has given up on him. Even if he came out now and stringently and plainly denounced Israel and halted all arms sales, all of the Arab-Americans like me will remember it took the deaths of 7 white westerners to do what the deaths of 30,000 Palestinians could not.

No way we sent more bombs after the WCK attack. What's your source of this info? How in the heck are these two political hacks being nominated by the two major parties of the most powerful country in the world in consecutive elections???? Can anyone answer this? Are we Americans just idiots, or what?

This article says that the transfer of bombs was approved the same day as the attack, but “hours before” the attack itself.

However it also says:

“The Biden administration has indicated that it does not plan to restrict or condition military aid to Israel, despite US officials, including President Joe Biden, saying publicly that Israel has not done enough to protect civilians throughout the course of the six-month war. Biden said earlier this week that he was “outraged” over the strike that killed the aid workers.”

So it looks like it will be true soon enough? We will see.

This article: https://thehill.com/homenews/4577089-biden-not-backing-independent-investigation-world-central-kitchen-strike/amp/

Says that Biden had declined to back a third party investigation into the WCK attacks so I think it will be more of the same once we forget this news cycle.

Just because a 3rd party investigation will do no good for the current POTUS Administration doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. We are capable of putting politics aside long enough to do the right thing.

Of course. I mean if you're lucky, the issue or abortion is one that you have to deal with maybe once or twice in a lifetime. But, you know what affects my life, and my kids' life on a daily basis - the economy, inflation, schools, the influx of undocumented immigrants from all over the world.

I'm pro-choice, but I'm certainly not basing my vote on that.

This. Everyone needs to volunteer and donate to the extent they can - our republic depends on it

This is literally one of the dumbest, most anti-liberty takes I have ever read. Who cares if women are essentially slaves because of a few well placed extremists, right?

Or, because I sense that you hide your deep self absorption behind “common sense”: what do you think is going to happen in 15-18 years when untold scores of unwanted children reach the age of peak criminal activity? What do you think schools are going to be like with all those unwanted children in them? You can keep complaining about immigration but the GOP biffed on that one on purpose, so I don’t really think it’s quite as pressing an issue as you want us to believe.

But sure. A few hundred thousand extra and extremely unwanted children - that will for sure make for a healthy, safe and happy society and a good solid economy, too. /s

Pro abortion and though I’m voting for Biden on a multitude of issues, this is number 1.

Of course, if you don't "deal with" it, it then becomes 18 plus years of your life and gobs and gobs of money.

No, no, no - pp has thought it through and at no point does a woman’s ability to plan her reproduction have anything, anything at all to do with the economy. It’s a purely vaginal issue, and not one that matters, except maybe once.

Going to be a lot more “once”s if the GOP wins and bans birth control as they clearly plan to.

You know what effects 8% of pregnancies? Life-threatening complications. If all your kids are boys I suppose you can just blow that off, but if you have any girls you might want to consider their lives.

Ironic given it is the GOP who has been so steadfast in its support of Israel and Biden losing democrat votes over the Gaza issue.

Yes, if they think it puts them in a more strategically advantageous position for the upcoming POTUS election. Trump and the GOP will do the same thing. In our world ruled by the GOP and Dem parties, anything and everything done in an election year is for the purpose of getting elected or re-elected. Doing what's right or what's in the best interest of the country is a secondary agenda.
