Yes, Rs have gone so far to the right that today even Reagan would be a RINO. |
Anyone voting for a Republican school board member needs their head examined
Bringing us back to the dark ages in science reading and math wow Republicans are already stupid this will set them back even more Apparently republicans never studied Hitlers rise? The clown car group in the House is a prime example of why no Republican should be ejected to a school board? Models of great education Boebert Mtg Gaetz Jordan seriously people who strives for their kids to be that dumb And of course the whole voucher system where priests youth pastors and ministers can educate kids. Jesus freaks wake up your boys abuse kids on a daily basis fact pick up a newspaper not like it doesn’t happen weekly. But hey Republicans you do support the almighty guy who wants to be King. Hum guess you idiots failed US history we don’t have kings Vote in the gop for school boards bye bye strong education |
I simply don't care. I'm fed up with the way FCPS is running their schools. Whatever it takes to turn the ship around. Democrats can wake the heck up and figure out a way back to the table. |
It's the Democrats who kept schools closed longer than they needed to be; prioritized trans rights over just about any other issue before them; spent hours during School Board meetings on empty resolutions and recognitions so that they could deal with any real business after most people had turned in for the evening; cut back on the amount of time that public speakers could address the Board; oversaw a major decline in SAT scores; imposed onerous training and reporting obligations on teachers that drive many from the profession; totally abdicated any responsibility to engage in sensible oversight of facilities planning and capital spending in FCPS; wasted more money on a "social justice" academy program; and generally functioned as a vapid echo chamber of virtue-signaling, self-promoting clowns.
I don't expect them to lose their grip on power but we need some people on the board ready to call them out when they keep behaving like preening, self-congratulatory twits who have lost sight of their basic and limited, yet important, responsibilities. |
You have this completely backwards. Have you paid zero attention to all the damage democrats on the FCPS school board have done since they were elected? - Massive learning loss. - large drop in test scores across the board. - Teachers quitting FCPS in droves. - Huge increases in student mental health problems. - School discipline run amok, where bullies are coddled and victims ignored. But one of the biggest problems is democrats ignoring academics. If they retain a majority, we can expect more of the same, as they steer FCPS toward more failure. You sound unhinged, PP. Perhaps it’s you who needs their head examined. |
Regarding disciplinary issues, this note from Michelle Reid this week in her weekly update: "The second initiative is our Restorative Justice Program’s new Responsible Pathway to Restorative Justice Facilitation. This pathway program will enable trained and endorsed members of Team FCPS to operate as school-based restorative justice facilitators. By this time next year, our goal is to have two of these facilitators in each of our schools. I’m thrilled about this program and how it will support us to provide excellence, equity, and opportunity for each and every one of our students, especially those impacted by discipline disparities. [i] As I shared with the principals on Thursday, I know there likely are a lot of questions about these two initiatives! More information on our Instructional Rounds and the Responsible Pathway to Restorative Justice Facilitation will be made available in the coming weeks; stay tuned!" It's hard to see how this will make the lives of teachers or administrators any easier. Some will be drafted to become "restorative justice facilitators." Others will not, but will have to deal with the consequences of bending over backwards to "those impacted by discipline disparities" rather than emphasizing the need for safe and secure classrooms where bullying and other forms of misbehavior aren't tolerated. You don't get to this place without the current, all-D School Board that is so enamored of its own rhetoric and commitment to "equity" and "social justice" that it's ready to hire a superintendent who similarly elevates the pathologies of misbehaving students over the impact on victims. |
And Kennedy would be a republican. |
The Ds have gone so far to the left that today Bill Clinton would be a true Republican. |
Oh, yay - Super Troll has returned! How I've missed your spewing, inarticulate, word salad, LWNJ garbage rants. Getting my popcorn! ![]() |
+100 Well said. |
+1 But you're replying to a known troll. She vomits up the same rants over and over, usually on the Politics forum. Seems she's found new territory to soil with her bizarro, nonsensical screeds. |
Just unreal. The very phrase, "Restorative Justice" tells me all I need to know. I had (naively) thought that was a failed experiment and that FCPS has wised up. I guess not. So, so very glad my youngest will graduate from this cesspool soon. |
Another RINO or moderate D. |
He certainly has some true Republican characteristics... |
Yes - common sense regarding our border. Something sorely lacking among today’s Democrats. |
