And speaking of state legislatures, this is a BFD.

It is ridiculous that tabulating votes is taking this long. Their election officials should be embarrassed.

A lot of states arent done counting. Their races just aren't as close. That being said the amount of time it takes to count votes in the US is absurd.

So, there are 19 house seats that have not been called (by NPR, the number varies from 18-20 depending on which media vendor your visit). Almost all are close races within about 1% of each other. There are also almost no states that are 100% completed with the election tabulations. But in all of the called races, the vote tallies are far enough along that each of the media vendors are willing to call the race saying that the remaining outstanding votes are unlikely to change the results.

The remaining races that have not been called are too close to call. Would you rather that they called the race and then later had to go back and recant the call? That's happened in the past and the decision teams that made the calls, were royally roasted for doing so, including by the candidate that was declared a winner, but ultimately lost.

To give you an idea, today, 6 days after the election day, the 19 seats not called include AK-1, AZ-6, CA-3, CA-6, CA-9, CA-13, CA-21, CA-22, CA-27, CA-34, CA-41, CA-45, CA-47, CA-49, CO-3, CO-8, ME-2, NY-22, OR-6. 12 races in California alone (more than half of the uncalled races). Why aren't you calling out California for getting its ducks in a row?

It makes more sense to blame the voters for a close race than to blame those counting the votes. Talk about killing the messenger. PP doesn't know what they are talking about. Too used to growing up in a world of instantaneous information and completely oblivious to the world that goes on behind the scenes to make that PP's facade work.

Electing election deniers is nonsensical. Many of them lost and with good reason.

The likes of CNN bought it and tried to sell it, but all it did was further energize the left, except in places where voter suppression and gerrymandering were successful (ie FL and WI)

+1 There was a big discussion about this in the Senate thread. Trafalgar is beyond Republican leaning, missed every swing state in 2020, still has an A rating, and was releasing like a dozen polls a week. Every poll had the Ds not getting to 50%, EVEN THE ONE FOR VERMONT SENATE. Hopefully they’ll go back on the trash heap.

NYT polling was right on the money. 538 was full of garbage from Trafalgar et al.

Yes! I am tearing up looking at this. The NC GOP has done so much to eviscerate the progress NC citizens had made in the civic space, so this joy here represents a chink in the GOP wall of hate.

So we should know about Hobbs-Lake and almost all of the remaining House races except for California tonight.

They are saying Wednesday. Last night Maricopa stated they only had 70K left. Today it's 100K+ because of vote curing, etc.

So you believe the Dems have the house, right?

No, I think they’ll be short a couple. Those posts are about state houses.
