They are now being sued, but if the succeed in delaying certification until the state deadline next week then the whole county's votes likely won't be included in the count, and that will be enough to flip a US House seat from R to D. What a bunch of nutcases.

Why don't the voters if that county have any recourse? Another D seat would be great but that seems terribly unfair to the voters

Some voters along with AZ Secretary of State are suing. I presume they will win and force certification, as much as I would love to see the GOP's insanity cost it a seat.

Arguments in this case are Thursday, assuming a same day decision, the board can appeal next week. That appeal won't even be docketed until after results are due.

I'm not an AZ lawyer, but typically you need to comply with a lower court judgment pending appeal unless that judgment is stayed. Also, I am not that lucky.

Do these people seem like they'll comply?

I don't even get this. Aren't McCarty and McDaniel still pretty firmly up Trump's a**?

The point is that the MAGAs were expecting a red wave or red tsunami and hit the blue breakwater. The MAGA toddlers are screaming that the establishment Republicans are to blame for not going all in on Trump. McConnell and McCarthy both were very lukewarm on supporting Trump-backed candidates. McDaniel was responsible for pushing the Republican candidates across the board and failed to add enough traction for them to get over the line.

McDaniel tiptoeing out there and finally saying they need to tell Republican voters to vote early and absentee and not just on Election Day.

Even Dan Snyder hasn’t managed to lose this badly.

1) Love the Dan Snyder snark.
2) Trump really can pick ‘em!

Trump's instincts wrt politics worked ONCE. And barely. Recall he won the EC by besting Clinton in 3 key states by something like 77,000 votes combined.

Further, it was his instinct to run for POTUS to elevate his brand. He thought he'd lose. Sure, he was excited about winning. He liked the rallies. But I bet at least some part of him regrets running.

Bad instincts.

He is psychologically incapable of the insight necessary to feel "regret."

1) The 2-14 record made me think of the NFL immediately.
2) Snyder and Trump are basically the same person at this point.

Oh who could possibly know why Republicans are so against voting by mail? Hmmmm….

The Democrats flipped the Pennsylvania state house but don’t actually have control because two of their candidates won higher office and one of them died. Although, maybe they do, because of crazy Republicans requesting recounts. 😀

Epilogue:

“Two Cochise County supervisors who resisted certifying results in the November election are on the hook for $37,000 in legal and court fees.

It's the latest court ruling awarding sanctions against parties that rejected the results of the 2022 general election. In March, a court awarded attorney fees and costs against failed Republican secretary of state candidate Mark Finchem for filing what a judge called a "groundless" lawsuit contesting his loss.”
