If so, what were the circumstances? Did it change your life in any way?
I have not, but I wonder about this from time to time. |
My cousin routinely does. She's a news reporter and every so often someone will recognize her. She never gets anything free because of it. |
I was in a commercial for my college that aired twice every game during a football season. I got recognized by people in my department, but not really otherwise. |
No, thank god. |
I started a dcum post that got to 23 pages once |
Love it! I was in a very popular commercial overseas that helped pay for grad school. When I travel to that region, sometimes people call out my commercial's catchphrase want to take pictures with me. I could see it getting annoying if it happened at home but it's fun when I'm travelling. |
I've had 15 minutes of notoriety. It's not fun. |
I walked across the room in a Senate hearing and was seen on C-Span by my father. ![]() |
I was a model. I mainly did commercial work and occasionally worked in high fashion (photo shoots/runways). I went to NYU full-time and basically supported myself through college and law school doing this. I "retired" when I made law review and was too busy to book commercial work and balance school. It's an awful industry, I would never encourage my kids to pursue it, but it did grease my wheels and I had a very good agent who went out of her way to help me stay safe. Other girls weren't so lucky.
I'm a generic middle-aged government attorney with kids living the burbs now. But I have stories, honey! |
Are you still really good looking? Sometimes I jokingly ask if my really pretty friends are models. Do your friends ever do that to you, and you say well actually yes! |
I rode in parades and waved to the crowd. Daughter of a someone... |
I testified before Congress. But not on CSPAN ![]() Actually, I was on Sesame Street in first grade. They came to my school to film a stand alone song, which aired for YEARS. All the kids I babysat used to tell me when they saw me on TV. I was on TV for approximately 2 whole seconds. |
Ha! No, I would describe myself as someone who can pull herself together, but on a daily basis I look like your typical harried middle-aged woman. I was tall 5'9.5 and tiny. I was also all arms and legs. Like when I sit next to my 4'11 kid we're the same size, but when I stand up, I shoot up. Friends who learn about my past can connect the dots when they see pictures, but it's like another lifetime ago in many ways. I like my life and as strange as it sounds I had more fun taking my kids on a Disney cruise than I did partying, I mean "networking"' on a yacht with a bunch of jerky rich guys. I hated the constant danger I faced during the 6 years I was a working model. I avoided drugs and didn't drink, but I had many close calls with dangerous men. |
I was on an episode of Dawson’s Creek. |
hey I remember you from dcum! your dad was depressed and you made fun of someone for having a child who learned German. Hahahahahaha |
