| Please tell me no. |
| We're all required to. I think that's normal. |
WAMU just interviewed a woman this morning who had to go in to work to change her voicemail message for her "orderly shutdown"
They also spoke about daycares in federal offices that were closed. This is a problem for the non-fed parents who have kids in federal daycares, because those parents still have to work! Traffic is lighter however, so yes, lots of people are staying home today. |
| We have to check in and change email, and stuff. It most of us can do this from home. |
| I can change my voice mail and email from home. There is no reason I should be driving in right now. |
| I couldn't do mine remotely because I don't need have a printer and a scanner to sign my documents and return them. Not sure why we can't sign electronically... |
We are told we'll be able to sign electronically thru email. But I don't have the notice yet. So we'll see.... |
| I am told to come in to sign something. |
|
Just make sure your VM is consistent with WH switchboard VM -- something along the line of "...due to Congressional Democrats refuse to blah, blah, blah..."
|
It’s red everywhere getting into DC, all the major roads. What the...? |
+1 DHs entire office has to go in to put their out of offices up and crap like that. They're required to be there for 4 hours. Why four hours when it will take 7 minutes tops to complete the required tasks? Who knows. Enjoy the drink specials, everyone! |
my voicemail will say whatever I am directed to say. which surely won't be that juvenile |
| There's a vote at noon to fund for 3 more weeks. They will likely reopen then. |
+1. Still waiting on notice to sign, and no communication about having to "work 4 hours" or not |
if they vote to fund at noon do we come in today or tomorrow? |
