I am a physically fit, health conscious guy and I only find chubby/curvy women attractive

If a woman catches my eye, it's a guarantee that she's on the heavier side.

The short vs tall thread kind of triggered my thoughts about other ways where opposites attract.

We humans are interesting animals.

Anybody relate?

Good question, but it's hard to define. I can say that I was reading a thread in the Off Topics forum earlier today and someone said she's embarrassed by her "muffin top" and planned to have lipo. I didn't know what a muffin top was, so I Googled it. I'm very much okay with muffin tops!

Ha! That reminds me of my brother, he is over 6 feet really handsome very fit (marathon runner fit) but married and happy as a clam to my SIL who is under 5 5" and pleasantly plump but not in an obese way, more like a well shaped size 14 with a really pretty face. He has never once brought up her weight and is fine with it. She is healthy just not super thin and he even forebear he married her 14 years ago was dating a girl with a similar build. He jokes he likes meat on teh bones..nothing wrong with that!

There's a pot for every lid, as they say, but are you the norm OP? I don't think most men like stick thin women, but I don't know about "chubby".

I don't think your experience is uncommon. I think many men are socialized to date extremely thin women as a status thing, but probably find size 8-12 women plenty attractive.

Most people with muffin top are not going to be obese. When you get really big, you are beyond muffin top.

My understanding is that men generally don't like obese women and don't like really skinny women either. Of course, there are outliers on both ends, but this seems to ve the consensus.

Female here. I’ve been told I’m gorgeous and am a size zero. My husband is borderline overweight. I do not like skinny guys. I dated one once and couldn’t stand eating more than he did. This way I am the skinny hot one in the relationship But for the record he’s a good looking guy!

You obviously are not a man. A side from the fact I do not know other man that thinks and extremely thin women are a status symbol. Moreover, man don't use or look to the women they date for status, that's definitely a woman thing.

You Sir are in the right country, 70+% of women are overweight here.

My dad is exactly like this. Always fit and trim, even now that he’s in his late 60s. All his girlfriends before my mom, and my mom as well, have been the equivalent of a size 8-10. I’m pretty thin and petite (size 0 - 2) and he’s always said I was too skinny and looked like a little boy. ?
