| Destabilizing nations is not something that’s in the US or Western best interest |
Iran was actually the enemy of Isis in Syria. Guess who was the supporter? America and Israel. At one point, the Pentagon and the CIa were backing two different warring factions fighting each other in the Syrian conflict. https://www.latimes.com/world/middleeast/la-fg-cia-pentagon-isis-20160327-story.html Obama learned from Libya 2011 and the disaster of Hillary Clinton foreign policy decisions, and pretty much TACO’d/ washed his hands of it and refused to invade/regime change it in 2013. I don’t think people realize how much the Iraq war changed America. Obama and Trump both won because they were anti war candidates compared to the other 16 challengers in their respective primaries (2008, 2016) |
As if Europe doesn't deserve the karma for making the ME pay for the aftermath of WW2. Why exactly does Europe not deserve to be taken over by the millions displaced for everything Europe has done the past 100 years (at minimum)? It's so weird when people just choose to forget the hell on earth created by European Christians for both Jews and Muslims. Too bad many Jews forgot that fact and chose to take it out on Palestinians. |
They are taking it on Europe via replacement theory |

President Reagan was the last true Republican patriot.
He demanded an end to the bombardment of Beirut, describing the situation as a "holocaust" and calling it a "frustrating experience," says the New York Times. The Reagan administration was initially divided on the 1982 invasion, but opposition grew as civilian casualties mounted, says the Office of the Historian. According to Time Magazine , Israeli leadership, particularly Prime Minister Begin, was furious over U.S. pressure and continued its actions despite American disapproval, including building new settlements. https://www.nytimes.com/1982/08/13/world/reagan-demands-end-to-attacks-in-a-blunt-telephone-call-to-begin.html |
Reagan sucked. Such a bigot. |
You did not pay for the aftermath of WW2. You were not alive. The US paid 1-2% of GDP per year for the Marshall Plan for 3 years. Without that Europe would have gone communist and the US economy would have stalled. The US created a stable Europe, a massive market for US exports and stabilized the free world. |
Reagan deployed the US marines as peacekeepers to allow the withdrawal of Israel and PLO forces and stabilize the Lebanon government. The US military was not a neutral party. The US marines were in active combat during that period and US battleships shelled “enemies” of Israel. The US was also funding Iraq in the Iraq Iran war. The attack was not made without the actions of the US. |
He was pro America. He was not a puppet of Russia or Israel like Trump |
Yes, and after that the 200+ peacekeeper marines got blown up in October 1983 supposedly by Hezbollah/Iran even though an ex Mossad agent wrote that Israel was aware and didn’t inform Reagan hoping that would pry him to war and outrage the US public. When that didn’t happen, Most people do not know a failed suicide bomber of Israeli heritage tried to blow up Congress also in October 1983. Israel Rubinowitz is the name. Luckily he was caught before anything detonated. Idk if the plan was he’d moonlight as a Lebanese or what but he was caught Israel is a highly dangerous “ally”. It’s more of an enemy than a friend |
Not sure what you think Maher’s religion has to do with any of this. Plus, he’s - quite famously - an atheist and was raised Catholic. |

+1 And the cost of the entire Marshall Plan was $13 billion, less than the $14 billion Trump just gave to Iran. |
