And those living in and around the Edgemoor neighborhood of Bethesda, SHAME on those who don't pick up. It's not that cold. It's not that rainy. Go out with several bags. Don't leave that blue bag lying around either. Stop yelling in your phone long enough to notice what your dog is doing.

If you're too busy accumulating filthy lucre to walk your own dog, tell your dog walker to pick up after the dog.

you are wrong. Dog and cat poop is very bad for the environment and wildlife. They have extremely dangerous bacteria in them that can kill fish and turtles in ponds. Their pee can burn grass on lawns. It seems you are very ignorant and not well educated.

Dog owners have been extra lazy, since it got cold. And worse are the people who bag their dog's poop - AND THEN LEAVE THE PLASTIC BAGS OF POOP ON THE SIDE OF A PATH/SIDEWALK/TRAIL. Who does that?!

Has the thought crossed your mind that they might be coming back the way they came and will be picking it up on the way back? I do this so I don't have to carry a smelly bag on to a place that I will be returning from.

Old Town, too. My kid stepped out of our car curbside on Royal St. and barely missed a pile. At least it's more frozen this time of year than in summer, when I stepped in some on the sidewalk in Del Ray.

And sorry, you should dispose of your dog's poop properly. You think it's ok to leave a bag of smelly poop out for later, but you don't want to carry YOUR dog's poop? Be a responsible owner and dispose ASAP, or hold on to it until the opportunity comes up.
