Cute, random things about your dog

Here's mine:

Anyone else notice that their dog's shadow seems to bounce more than your actual dog? Our large dog seems to walk along smoothly enough during walks, but whenever I see his shadow, it looks like he's trotting and bouncing up and down in a really jolly way. Always makes me smile.

Also, very occasionally during walks, halfway through he'll turn and look at me and touch his nose to me, without breaking his stride. No idea why he does this sometimes. Happens with husband too.

Mine sleeps in bed with us. She’ll start under the covers completely (I don’t know how she can breathe but she loves it) and then sometime during the night pops her head up to be on the pillow right next to me. We often wake up spooning. Kind of kills intimacy most nights but it’s the sweetest thing.

Our dog enjoys a treat of popcorn and licks of butterscotch DumDums.

Our departed lab/chessie crossed her paws when lying down. Very elegant.

It balanced out the butt scooting which was not elegant.

Our lab loves snow and cold weather. The colder, the better! He enjoys sledding down the hill in our yard on his belly when it snows.

My dog will be laying on the couch watching me in the kitchen or in the hallway doing laundry, and then when I walk towards her she stays down but her tag wags furiously.

It makes me feel outrageously good.

I love it when dogs look back over their shoulders at the person walking them. You can practically see the thought bubble: "This is great, isn't it? THIS IS SO GREAT!"

Our dog is extremely protective of our special needs child. She would never hurt a stranger, but she does not like people approaching Larlette until she has vetted them.

My young labradoodle hops like a bunny when we let her out into the back yard.

Our Samoyed puppy pounces at the snow piles (what's left of them at this point), buries his snout in it, then hops onto the next snow pile. Friends have declared he's like a plush dog. I think he must have a bunny gene.

OP here. Absolutely! And this is just our first dog (which is probably why I didn't know some other dogs do the same thing ours does! ).

Let's keep it going, folks!

I like how she sleeps on my feet.

I think my dog can tell when I'm cold. He comes over and rubs against me or snuggles up next to me so I can warm my icy cold hands on him. And he never complains!
