She wants to have bedtime stories read to her when we're reading to the girls too - complete with being on the bed, and having a blanky. I have caught DH showing the dog the pictures too.
She will lay with the girls for a while after we leave their room, and then when she's decided they're settled enough, she hops down and comes to hang out with us. |
I had a dog growing up but then I became a cat person only. Recently we took the plunge into dog ownership and it is a lot of work compared to a cat, but amazing! It’s really fun to see how obsessed everyone is with the dog, making up nicknames, life stories, buying her clothes, etc. The best! |

My dog chews her ears lol!
She also lays down on her back end with her paws sticking out from behind while her front end is propped up. Looks so funny. She lays across the headrest of the couch like a cat. She makes a bed out of any bag or box that gets left on the floor and growls at you if you try to move her to get the bag or box back. When she is on a walk, her long ears flop against her head as she bounces along and it is SO cute to me. |
| When my dog sleeps his little tongue sticks out the front. |

My little Maltese loves playing hide and seek in the house. One of the kids will hide, then we ask our dog Ruby to find said child. She looks in every room for the hidden child and as time goes by, she gets faster and faster. So cute to hear her paws skidding when changing direction on the floorboards in excited desperation looking for the child!
And she knows their names of who’s hidden and only looks for that one child. |

My dog is 5 lbs but thinks she is 150 lbs. She protects the house, patrols the yard, and barks every time a doorbell rings on TV.
Her dog bed is next to the couch and when she's sleeping in it, she will randomly wake up and come up on the couch for a cuddle (up on a shoulder, like a baby), then go back to bed. At night she sleeps in my bed. She starts out under the covers and when she gets too warm, lies on top of them. Then sometime in the night she gets back under the covers. I'm sure I lift them up for her in my sleep. |

My dog has huge bat ears. She can fit her entire foot inside, up to the hock. Sometimes she starts scratching her head with her back foot, and the foot just works it's way around to the ear and disappears all the way in, still scratching. Then she chews on her toes, I guess to clean them.
My dog is gross and I love her. |
| Mine has been trained not to go for her food bowl until we say "okay!" But now she waits until we say, in a very cheesy fake French accent, "Bon appetite!" It's not the tone, because I've tried saying "Buen provecho!" and "Chow down!" in the same high-pitched saccharine voice, but she doesn't go for the bowl and just keeps waiting. It's pretty hilarious! |
LOL! |

My dog loves carrots and apples, and if she hears me peeling a carrot, she will come running from the other end of the house, skid to a stop, sit, and look at me expectantly.
She does the same thing if she hears someone biting into an apple. |
What a health nut. My puppy just ate another dog's poo this afternoon.
|
| LOL. Still laughing. |

Our shepherd jumps up on her hind legs to greet us, without touching us, in a gentle, smooth way and it's rather dolphin-like. I know. Odd but she really looks like a dolphin.
to the PP whose dog noses them, it's a herding thing. "How are my people-sheep doing? Are we all going the same way? Just checking in!" |
| I have been away on business since Thursday. I called the family last night and DH decided to put the phone on speaker so everyone could get in. Apparently, the dog heard my voice and his ears perked up and came to the phone bc he thought I was there. Precious lil’ guy! |

My puppy collapses to her shoulder when you go to pet her, and then she does an exceedingly slow front somersault.
My older dog licks elbows all the time (not always cute). |
