| I’ve tried many different brands. I can’t find anything that won’t run or smudge. I’ve all but given up, but I look a million times better with eyeliner— before it starts to move. I’m also wondering if the eye cream I’m using makes a difference? |

I use Urban Decay's eye shadow primer underneath Estee Lauder Doublewear Eye Liner and it lasts ALL day.
Do your eyes water a lot during the day? |
| The eye cream may not be absorbed enough before your liner is going on. I do agree with PP’s recommendation on primer. You may also need a liquid liner if you have oily lids. |
Agree with this. You need a primer |
| I use urban decay primer with clio kill black liquid liner. Stays put all day. |
| Urban decay liquid liner. |
This. The light purple tube. Not the anti aging one. |
Sorry, I'm referring to the primer. |
| I have oily lids and have to use a primer and then Kat Von D tattoo liner works best for me. |
Same for me. I use the urban decay primer. The kat von dee liner never comes off. |
| Try something powder-based. I like Guerlain's kohl powder and Laura Mercier tightline cake eyeliner. The Guerlain stays on for days if I don't take it off with a qtip, and the Laura Mercier doesn't smudge or rub either, though it's less dramatic. |
| Any recs for drugstore brands? |
| Liquid liner works best for me. Kat Von D tattoo liner is great in brown and black. Use powder first in the eyelid or primer and let it dry before doing eyelashes. |
I use a cheap wet n wild primer and drugstore waterproof (that is key) eyeliner, and it stays on all day. Right now I am using essence. I find the gel eyeliners go on more easily, but I have had good luck with pencil as well. I don't bother with liquid. The key is just to use a primer. Drugstore brands are cheap enough to be able to experiment. |
I'm the oily eyelids poster. I've found Almay liquid eyeliner to work the best, and it's easy to apply. |
