| My problem is the liner smudges on my lower lash line. I have hooded lids and dark circles, where I use concealer under my eyes, if that makes a difference. What's a girl to do? |
I use Mac Liquid liner Liquidlast, with my own liner brush, and this works better for me for the lower lids especially. If I use any type of pencil or gel liner, it smudges under the eye. |
Hello face twin. Are you also very pale? I have used and enjoyed many an eyeliner that stays well enough on my top lid, but nothing on the bottom till Charlotte Tilbury's Rock and Khol in Veruschka Mink. I think it is the name? She has two eyeliners, but the color is right. Applied very sparingly it smudges like I like, then sets for the day. It wears away just a smidge, but that may have as much to do with the fact that I wear so little. I could try to remember drugstore options that work better, but in most cases, i save more if I just buy the one thing I can actually swatch in store, you know? |
No, I have olive skin tone but if the eyeliner will stay vs making me look like I either didn't get enough sleep or slept in my makeup that works for me. Also, I do know you can return drugstore makeup, but I try not to do that. I feel guilty for some reason, which I know is ridiculous. |
| Still Stay All Day Liquid liner is the best and worth every cent. It never smudges and really does stay all day. My sister swears by the Urban Decay, but her liner is always running. |
| ^^Stila Stay all day. (Autocorrect fail) |
Even on the lower lashes? I'm the PP whose liner always smudges on the lower lashes, not the upper. |
|
I like Laura Merceir Tightline cake liner (I use the one in Mahogany) with a flat tipped brush.
I just wet the brush with Evian Brumisateur at my make-up table, swirl it in the cake liner and apply. It stays all day. |
Yup, you just have to apply with a light hand and let it dry before a second coat. A little powder under the eye will help with any liner that tend to run. |
| Have been a devotee of Revlon eyeliner for years, but recently switched to NYX. It's a dual pen - liquid felt tip on one end and the wind-up pencil type on the other. Liquid stays on my upper lid like a DREAM!! Literally. I can fall asleep and wake up with eyeliner perfectly in place. Lower lid is more problematic, but always has been. I use the pencil/kohl on my lower lid and it does smudge but I think it stays on a little better than Revlon. |
| Urban Decay Primer + Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner |
+1 on MAC. I also use Jordana pencil - it’s SUPER cheap at the drug store, it’s called 24hr something (or similar), its a pencil but goes on smoothly and has great color payoff. I use a dark brown and it’s the only liner I can wear on my lower lash that I don’t have to touch up every few hours. Try it- it’s less than $5, I have about 5 of these liners scattered between purses so I know I’ll always have one handy. And I just started using NYX concealer/ primer on my lids and inner corner of my eyes - it’s amazing and helps keep everything in place |
| Having good luck with Kevin Aucoin liner - waterproof gel version iirc. |
| Another +1 for the Laura Mercier cake eyeliner that you have to use a brush with, but it's not very dark/dramatic as previous posters have noted. But it doesn't budge, and I've tried it through everything - yoga, out in the rain, crying, etc. |
Oops - I see now (as applying) it is actually Tom For |
