The arrest record says Chantilly Court Rockville. That is Wootton catchment. Elementary is zoned for Fallsmead. You can walk or run there from Wootton which he apparently did. Look at the arrest record for yourself. The student lives in boundary for Wootton no cosa is needed when you live in boundary.

Then who is the right kid on that list? The juvenile from Washington DC is from the Silver Spring incident that occurred by the metro Monday night.

The question you should be asking is why someone would move in the middle of the school year from SS to Rockville, but you already know that, right?

Are you afraid the press will flip the rocks on Blake HS? Or why the kid wasn't transferred into a MCPS special school? Or who let that happen?

The shooter recently transferred into Wootton from Blake HS in Silver Spring. The shooter claimed in court that he wasn't the aggressor. The kid shot is the same kid who told his "mental health professional" last year he was bullied at Wootton, making all the fuss that got the Principal replaced. His mom wanted to transfer him out but was blocked. There is also a claim that the kid shot was wearing an ankle monitor.

Neither kid should have been at Wootton this year. Both kids should have been in MCPS special school facilities this year.

We moved mid school year. We bought a house and driving across town wouldn't work for me or my husband. So yes my child had to start at a new school mid year. Does that make me a bad mom or make my kid a delinquent? Little snowflake can transfer kid year and be just fine! All this talk about COSA waivers is just racism. You all don't want someone from "the wrong side of the tracks" around your snow flake. Not all kids that don't live inbounds for wootton are delinquents. How sad. Wootton community on dcum showing their true colors.

Other way around. Playing the race card to justify a shooting? Playing another race card to keep a kid with an ankle monitor in class? Yeah. The "wrong side of the law" is more like it. You're a criminal like those kids are - those are your true stripes.

This does not show the Wootton shooter

The arrest record from 2/9/26 listed on that website absolutely does show the Wootton shooter. However, let's say you are correct, that website *undisputably* shows that a 16 year old who lives in the Wootton cluster (Chantilly Court) was arrested on 2/9/26 for attempted murder. You're telling me that completely coincidentally a different 16 year old who lives in Wootton cluster was *also* arrested for the exact same type of crime but the police haven't reported on that at all??? Your logic makes no sense. Of course that arrest record website shows the Wootton shooter and lists their address as Chantilly Court - Wootton cluster; walking distance to Fallsmead Elementary.

No there was a separate incident in Silver Spring that night. Media widely reported 16 year old with a gun as part of that incident was arrested and charged.

Did you just paste this list blindly from someplace with no understanding of what these programs actually are? Probably, because you've listed RICA twice. Carl Sandburg Learning Center is a school for students with significant learning disabilities and interfering behaviors. It's a K-5, so obviously a 16yo can't go there. Rock Terrace is for students with significant intellectual disabilities who aren't on diploma track. RICA is for students with significant mental health needs. All of these programs are separate special education schools for IEP students who need 100% self contained classes. Not juvenile delinquents.

What an unbelievably stupid post. Maybe try one iota of fact-checking before ranting and raving nonsense about why MCPS didn't arbitrarily place teenagers in a special ed school for elementary kids. DJJ runs the schools for delinquents but many have been closed over the years.

Does anyone actually know these kids? I'd like to hear from a classmate or former classmate. It's like no one knows either kid. Lots of speculation about 2 kids no one on this forum actually knows. Any Wootton or former school parents actually know either?
